I think they are going to point at Trump mixing up the name of Lincoln's dead son as an example of his mental faculties slipping.

Zagnald Bloumphe would fail a citizenship test! Doesn't know Lincoln's kids! He would be deported under his own policies!

Edit: imagine me being a girl with those wireframe big round retard glasses saying this on tiktok and laughing for effect, fake laughing as exclamation points

I don't think it's a clear cut comparison. Correct me if I am wrong, but there is a lot to refining crude oil/natual gas and the gasoline we put into engines is just one of many byproducts in the process right? The energy expended to create the gasoline isn't solely for the gasoline and it is going to be produced anyway as a part of the larger refining process. So by using combustion engines it isn't so much doubling our energy usage though redundant logistics, but rather it's us using the whole buffalo of petroleum refinement.
It's complicated.

One one hand, the bigger an engine is the more efficiently it burns fuel, so a massive plant running at optimal RPMs will more efficiently use fuel then a car engine would. But the car engine is converting the fuel to mechanical energy and using it directly, while the plant has to convert it to electricity, transform the electricity to voltages that can be sent long distances on power lines, then converted to useful voltages to be sent to a charger which then fills a battery which holds the energy until it is converted back into mechanical energy. All those steps and conversions have energy loss and leakage that can be rather significant, it's possible that it's even less efficient but the complex process masks the energy losses. Plus the plant may run on coal or something even more dirty.

Additionally battery packs are very, very big and heavy in order to hold the same range as a normal gas tank, which makes the car even more heavy and so has to use more energy to move it. The extra weight puts more strain on the drivetrain so it wears down faster and can break easier. A Ford Focus could actually use less oil then a Model X simply by being lighter and have a more direct path between raw fuel and usage

Oh that's gonna be great, "DONALD TRUMP MIXED UP EDWARD AND TAD LINCOLN! UNFIT TO SERVE!!!!"

The most incredible phenomenon I've noticed is that political nerds and Wikipedia Scholars don't comprehend how little normal Americans know or can bother to remember American trivia. If you remember that Lincoln's wife was Mary Todd you are way ahead of the curve.

Don't, they did this to themselves. In non-clown or lesser clown world they would have had an open primary, and somebody like RFK jr. or Tulsi would be at the top of the ticket. Not Harris, not Walz. Even someone like Gavin Newsom would have been a far better candidate to motivate people to vote for the Democrats. At every chance to make the smart move, the democrats did the opposite. They shot themselves in the head. All this is just the death spasms of their corpse.

I agree. They do have better candidates, I was sort of hoping somehow Harris would steal the election because that would make it far less likely that Newsom has a chance come 28, a Newsom presidency is anathema to me.

I meant more ideologically for the Democrats. In 08 it was don't vote for the old man, in 12 it was don't vote for rich/successful people, in 16 they've been pressing orange man bad since. 08 and 12 had a good candidate, Obama is well spoken and likable, he's also was a centrist. Clinton was very fake and unlikable, her statesmanship was directly under question after the Arab spring too, but she was still a good candidate. Biden was simply not-trump with some good fe-fes from Obama. Old Uncle Joe with his Camaro. And completely weaponizing everything they had, all the BS talking points because they couldn't beat Trump on policy and track record, they barely won... barely won. This time around they had 2 assassination attempts on the guy, America which has been gripped with issues from Democrat radicalized people for 8 years now... I'm expecting an almost land slide victory for Trump. Dems have made their party unconscionable to all but their staunchest supporters. And I don't think there is near as many only blue voters as they think.

The technology now exists that you don’t need to do all that shit. Sure, you have to do other shit, but at one point we moved on from horses and carts, and from coal powered tractors.
Yes, we moved onto electric, and then immediately dropped that for internal combustion. Electric cars today have little better relative performance than the very first electric cars did 140 years ago, for the very same reason: batteries have terrible energy density. All the talk about how efficient electric cars is misses the reasons why they have to be so efficient. They are optimised right to the edge of what's physically possible, to extract every last accessible joule of energy from the batteries, because even the slightest change from ideal conditions drops an EV's range through the floor. That means accelerating too hard, going over certain speeds, going up hill, driving over gravel or poorly maintained roads, or towing even a small trailer will reduce your range. ICE obviously suffers the same issue, but the energy density of liquid fuels makes it functionally meaningless.

No battery will reach the energy density of gasoline in any reasonable time-frame. They would have to improve by orders of magnitude to even approach that energy density. BEV is a technological dead-end that has only gained any market traction at all because the state has mandated its adoption and is outlawing the alternatives. Nobody had to mandate the switch to internal combustion engines, or outlaw the use of horses or steam tractors, or even the original BEVs; ICE was just that much better.

Let's be real, this thread isn't any better. Anybody who doesn't support Trump or even lightly support Harris, even if it's for legitimate or personal reasons, will get dogpiled.
What are the “legitimate” reasons to not support Trump?

You either want a real country or you don’t. It’s that simple.

Whatever stupid ass policy that’s holding you up is not more important than the bigger picture. Especially if it’s abortion.

I swear some of you are children. I’m not a fan of how Trump handled his first term or the many ways he fucked up in 2020, but there are bigger issues at stake here.

It’s either there’s a slight chance some real, good work gets done or we dive further into the dystopia and are eventually forced to use violence to reclaim our country or go extinct.

If you don’t understand that, you’re either a victim of propaganda, a retard, or too young to be opining on serious matters.

That is to say, if you believe Kamala will be better or you’re hung up on 1 policy, your opinion isn’t valid and you don’t deserve the right to vote because you’re too stupid.

So, what is the whole Tallow oil thing exactly? I'm mostly aware of sunflower and olive oil. Where does Tallow come into the equation? Just want to understand it's properties a bit.
If you want more detailed info on that, check out Low Carb Down Under, it's an Aussie conference from a lot of doctors that may be a bit too keto-pilled, but most of the presentations are extensively sourced.

The case against PUFA comes down to the balance of different fats you eat.
Saturated fats have been unfairly demonized, and we've been inflating our Omega-6 consumption with oils that we didn't have before.
This has a measurable effect on cell wall composition, and bad cell wall composition (high trans fats, high omega 6) is known to correlate highly with Heart Disease and other inflammation-based diseases.
1729945443169.jpeg

Other theories point to it being due to Phytosterols (plant "cholesterols") which can embed themselves in cell walls, but do not behave the same as good ol' Animal cholesterol.

If you want a big TL;DR on the theory of Seed Oils being core to health issues, I suggest these two:
- Dr. Paul Mason - 'The Clotting Theory of Atherosclerosis and Seed Oil Toxicity (Updated)'
- Low Carb Essentials - 'Vegetable Oils'

Now, if you wanna go deeper into conspiracy-tier unverified stuff, you're gonna have to wade through a lot of shit, so good luck, always keep pubmed on hand, and don't lock yourself into one theory, we know nothing about nutrition, and it seems extremely unlikely that Vegan faggots, Carniggvores or PoofsPeaters are absolutely right in their theories.

Some people, like on reddit's r/SaturatedFat (yes, it's always redditors) think that any amount of Polyunsaturated Fatty Acids is going to literally fucking kill you by putting you in "torpor" like a hibernating animal, and therefore, we must avoid anything with worse saturated fat ratios than beef tallow, even in minute quantities. Some people are retarded.

I wonder what happened to Sacha Baron Cohen because his comedy was once fucking brilliant and just utterly retarded now. The HBO incarnation of Ali G Show and the Borat movie are still great.
sachabaroncohen.jpg
The comedy was partially hearing Cohen's absurdity but the real punchline was seeing everyday Americans and elites bend over backwards in placating a cartoon character because he had camera men in front of him. Without that element it's just not funny. Part of me feels that Cohen is still butthurt that Trump talked to him as Ali G and Trump within 2 minutes realized it was a giant waste of his time.

The Biden admin violated the Nuremberg Code in trying to force people to accept the jab. No fucking shit Harris boosters are being dogpiled. Cry me a fucking river.

College kids have no idea who Sonia Sotomayor is or what job she has.

I’m just making the point that there are better uses for refined oil than burning it (at low efficiency) for people to drive to the mall.

@teriyakiburns suggests that EVs are no better than they were 100 years ago. That is obviously wrong, or they wouldn’t be making a comeback. The energy density of a modern lithium battery is pushing on for 300Wh/kg, 10 times better than those old lead acid ones.
You can even viably use them for short distance air travel now.
Sure, it’s still nowhere near chemical fuel storage, but if you get 300+ mile range and mostly drive to the office and back, and can charge in your driveway, it’s good enough, and the other advantages make it a no brainer.

No battery will reach the energy density of gasoline in any reasonable time-frame. They would have to improve by orders of magnitude to even approach that energy density.
And when they do just imagine how much worse the EV battery fires will be.

Trump bringing up his scientist Uncle when talking nukes was pretty wild. If I'm not mistaken that's the Tesla guy too. (He had all of Teslas research on time travel, death rays and shit. True story!)
there was some flight attendant woman that was in a plane crash. IIRC the plane disintegrated at cruising altitude and she fell 20 or 30k feet or however high and survived because she landed in a tree. I believe they calculated that every branch she hit slowed her by 15 mph or something.

anything is possible when the stars align.
I don't know if that's the same chick but someone similar survived by NOT wearing a seatbelt in a 70s plane. It was a story as tragic as it was inspirational. She was the only survivor of a plane that crashed into a forest with her husband.
My brother in Christ, what pistol do you know of that supports a 100 round extended magazine and where can I get one?
Wait wait... I've played enough videogames to know that the average box WW2 clip for a Thompson was 20 to 30 rounds. Your thinking of a standard mobster Thompson machine gun. There are modern pistols with that amount that exist. I think mostly foreign but it's legit.
You don't know history, his son dropped out of society long before his father's death. 3 of Lincoln's sons died aswell so could be simply getting a name mix up but even then he's still right depending on the context.
You want to know something freaky? Every time Lincolns son visited another president in person they got shot. It only stopped happening when he stopped showing up at presidential events. Also booths twin brother ended up saving one of Lincolns sons from falling under a train.
Lee is a man often misunderstood, when Lincoln was assassinated, he condemned it and was very much on board with the idea of reconciliation to heal America. He loved America, but he loved being Virginian too. I would envy neither him nor Lincoln when the Confederates fired on Sumter, war is a terrible thing, brother wars even more so.

The McDonalds visit happened on Kamala's birthday, totally eclipsing it, if Trump doesn't plan these sorts of things in advance, then he really is the main character and reality morphs at his whim.
Lee was a good man and people seriously underestimate how crucial he was to ending the civil war as cleanly as possible. When he said the war was over, it was OVER. Most civil wars like that don't end in 4 years with army's on fields. They end with violent terrorist acts, gurella warfare, just nasty seemingly endless reprisals all around. There was enough adoration for him that he managed to seriously defuse the aftershocks and resentment with his diligent calls for peace and his incredibly amicable surrender. Grant accomplished a victory greater then any single battle just by talking to him and treating him with dignity. ( Lee never tolerated a single bad word against grant after that meeting.)

What Lee did and said after the war was one of the most beautifully bittersweet things I've ever read. He became a school teacher and reportedly his greatest regret was that he was a soldier for most of his life before that moment. He Dedicated the rest of his time to uplifting the youth before dying of a stroke.

i would love that also, but if he tries that they will stop sending the B-squad and legit JFK his ass
No shit the bankers would throw everything at him.
Someone lied to the people twice about Beyoncé performing at a Kamala rally to get people's butts in seats? Imagine my shock.
Again? Fucking again? She's just lost the entire demographic of her fans. I shouldn't expect anything less from the one person who managed to unite the Jews and arabs in hatred
This is some random.txt shit

Trump having extensive knowledge of Whales and a desire to save them is the most wholesome funniest shit so far.

I was comparing extended magazines for the Thompson to extended pistol magazines. Because it hardly seems fair to let pistols have extended mags but limit the Tommy to its standard one imo.

In many ways I do have sympathy for the Democrat situation. Trump is a hell of an opponent to face. Democrats like to tout record turn out in 2020 but I often wonder if they realize the implications and situation of that election. Trump had record turnout as well, but every voter for Trump actually voted for Trump. Because of covid and the ability to turn the average American into a terminally online redditer through stay at home, democrats were able to get a lot of not-trump votes. Republicans simply don't do this, a vote for Trump, a vote for Bush, a vote for Romney is a vote for that candidate. A vote for Kamala is many times a vote for not Trump and that worked in 2020 but we've seen 4 years of how that kind of vote logic turns out for the country.

I think democrats sold their soul a while back and they don't realize it. Kamala is such a terrible candidate that they are losing their "always vote blue" voters and the way they've run their elections since 2008, that is a good chunk of their base.
This is a score of self-inflicted injuries on their part. Weep not for them, as they did this to themselves and they absolutely deserve it. They lined themselves up for a killshot using a coalition that had only held together because of their mutual hate of the orange man and even during 2020 was starting to rapidly splinter as the disparate parts of the apparatus started to break down over time.

If you want a greatest hits of how fucked they are and why they needed such a cursed coalition and how it blew up in their face, however, follow me below the spoiler tag.

So, let's go down the list:

  1. Back in 2008, during the primaries, Hillary wound up losing pretty much immediately. With much of the country to go, she became mathematically unable to win the nomination. While the DNC is noted for its willingness to buck what its constituents want, here they had an outbreak of common sense and didn't fight what was at the time a massive popular upswell. Hillary took this loss badly, and her followers took it even worse, threatening to basically fuck up the entire convention if she wasn't nominated. Eventually, Obama was forced to offer her a position of power just to appease her idiot followers, but Hillary had more in mind.
  2. Hillary became DNC chair. She proceeded to basically chase out anyone remotely responsible for her loss in 2008, and replaced many of the DNC's functionaries with people loyal to her. These were rarely the most stable individuals and resulted in a huge number of veteran staff critical to the ground game getting replaced by useful idiots with minimal skills who were loyal to team Hillary. By 2010, the entire centerline of the DNC's operations had been changed from helping critical Dems get elected to ensuring that what happened to her in 2008 never happened again when she ran in 2016.
  3. Groups like Justice Democrats started going after succession candidates - the Dems who were intended to, when the time was right, replace some of the elder Arch-Liches in congress that had been there longer than many of this forum have been alive. Many of these candidates were some of the most ambitious and capable ones the DNC had, picked specifically to take over for party movers and shakers, and this established a precedent that would fuck the dems going forward: be insufficiently devoted to the Prog/Socialist side of the Dem party, get primaried with money dumped in from NGOs.
  4. The 50-state strategy, something begun by Howard Dean, and led to sweeping successes in 2008, was abandoned by party bigwigs citing cost. While this was partly true, a major reason they abandoned it is because it was in danger of upsetting the uniparty paradigm, forcing candidates at the local level to address the actual concerns of their constituents, as opposed to the "you'll vote for who we give you and no one else" method the DNC clearly preferred. Candidates voted in this way were left to starve on the vine, and if they happened to be insufficiently devoted to team Hillary, they'd find their finances drained long before that point.
  5. The main reason cost was an issue was due to Obama's disastrous second term costing them basically everything the DNC had to keep him in office for 2012. They massively overspent and wound up burning basically everything to save his campaign causing a financial crisis internally that would haunt the party going forward.
  6. As a consequence of 2-4, a massive brain drain of veteran staffers and campaign workers happened, with the vast majority of them winding up politically homeless, until a scrappy spray-tanned man from New York showed up and his campaign was all-too-happy to give them a place to belong for people fed up with the establishment horseshit, identity politics, and decades of enervation.
  7. Hillary failed hilariously, and in so doing, sucked dry the campaign coffers of every downticket democrat who was relying on the DNC, causing a massive cash extraction that further crippled the party financially and increased further its reliance on foreign donors.
This shit is *just* a small sample of the party's internal fallout from 2008-2016 and hallmarks just how much their own coalition was eating its own before the orange man ever took office. Their entire operation turning into a shitshow was never a matter of "if," only "when" and "how hard?"

1st hour is boring with trump rambling and rogan cautiously trying to push back or prod trump to tell him something interesting. very terse unwillingly to offend
First hour was boring to me because Trump was sticking to talking points that he had used in other interviews. After an hour both got more comfortable and new things were said by Trump

Honestly after the first hour it gets really interesting. I was kinda hoping Trump would say some wild shot but he was actually pretty level headed. And he’s a house UFC fan and was one of the earlier supporters of it.
