This is so bizarre. There actually have been concentration camps in the past, before WWII, and I believe we had them here during some war. They interned German citizens (not just the Japanese) during WWII if I'm not mistaken.

Does he not know that white people did ALL of that work until like, 20 years ago? And in many cases would happily do it again? My parents' generation did day labor over the summer in college. Worked as landscapers. I grew up in New England everyone working as a janitor was white until the late 1990s. Those were often union jobs, they were well-paid. They used to get treated well because they did their jobs well. They weren't on the phone constantly (who are these Mexicans talking to all the time?) and ignoring you.

The weirdest thing about people like Pat is they envision this thing that like, makes no sense. In the 2000s the part of New England where I lived, you couldn't get hired for a summer job anymore. There were people from Eastern Europe and Hispanics. If you were white and a teen/student you couldn't get hired at some summer seasonal thing anymore, they were avoiding hiring us because they knew they'd have to treat us decently. It was very strange.

I worked at a hotel for a bit doing rooms and laundry. Didn't realize I was not Caucasian. I must be albino or something.

Saying “enjoy prison” probably literally thousands of times is so fucking cringe it makes me wince. Why does he even say it? Is he creating police reports for everyone who sleights him even remotely? This is why I can’t follow him as much as I’d like.

He's basically saying that "Rona", as envisioned in the stalkerchilduniverse, is a fictional character like Rick and Niki and PCJ and everyone else the stalkerchildren talk about without actually knowing them. The stalkerchildren have some delusional fantasies about Piggytits and his extended family and friends that have no correlation with reality.
I think at this point his own narcissism has actually gotten so bad he's outright losing grip on reality himself. Like, he is denying and technicality tomlinsoning so much he's gone over the edge and is now pathologically denying anything the stalkerchildren say.
In short, he's basically buckbroken.

I'd almost say that Ekpeki deserves a thread here, but so far he's not really interesting enough to qualify as a lolcow. Just a dumb grifter who's figured out how to milk American liberal guilt for his own benefit. Not funny, just annoying. I've been vaguely aware of him for several years, since he threw a temper tantrum because Amazon suspended his account. Of course he claimed it was racism, but it turned out that he was suspended for having more than one account. Then he claimed paypal was racist because they weren't sending payments to him. That turned out to be because, wait for it...the Nigerian government was blocking payments from paypal, because they didn't want money coming in from other countries to fund the overthrow their corrupt regime. But the morons in SFWA didn't bother looking into any of that and accepted his idiotic claims unquestioningly. And it's been their pet project ever since to give him a writing career, despite the fact that he doesn't seem to have actually written anything yet? It'll be interesting to see if this gets swept under the rug.

This is pretty damning, it's about the lowest effort plagiarism available where anything was changed. The only way it could be worse is if he literally just published her work as his own, although in some ways this is worse, because changing things means he knew it was wrong to some extent. Unfortunately he is a bit of a golden goose with the SFWA so it's unlikely he faces any real repercussions from this.

I'm sure he's ripped off ideas from other authors, but not many haven't tbh. If taking a prior idea and adapting it to your own story was illegal, every storyteller of the last couple thousand years would be in prison.
