If it was based after DAO and BG3, it would be worth the wait, rather than giving us Trannyguard. As Shigeru Miyamoto famously said: "A delayed game can eventually be good, but a fundamentally bad game is bad forever" and that is a damn fact.

Unquestionably. If they announced tomorrow that Veilguard is being pulled for redevelopment and a couple of years from now we get a Dragon Age with a great story, better characters and merely tolerable levels of wokeness, I'd be delighted.

I'd also love a blowjob from 1990s Nicole Kidman, but that ain't in the cards either.

The sad fact is BioWare painted themselves into this corner. EA is, of course, one of the biggest scumbag video game companies out there, but a decade in development with multiple setbacks and project leads abandoning ship is acceptable to no one. How much responsibility EA bears is an open question, as it has been with every BioWare game since they got bought, but the level of rot in BioWare itself is more than enough to bear the brunt of it.

Apparently there is an OFFICIAL cosplay guide for Veilguard. Seems a bit optimistic

new reviews suggests they ditched crpg stuff for a shitty god of war knockoff gameplay which is just mystifying with the absurd success of baldurs gate 3 proving that old school gameplay and decent (relatively) writing are highly profitable.
Even though I'm not the biggest BG3 fan I'm glad it did so well sales wise. It totally proved that the last 10-15 years of Bioware's game philosophy was horrible misguided and that the dumbing down of rpgs does not increase your sales. I'm hoping that if somehow Bioware survives past Veilgaurd they take note of this and remove some of the crap they slowly added into their games over the years.

So what were your three choices that are actually being imported? I romanced Cassandra (since I am a Cis, White, Male, Hetero, Patriarchal, Militaristic, Colonial, Fascist, Chud Inquisitor). I kept the inquisition together to suppress all the heckin' valid minorities by keeping my boot on their necks, (which is why I supported a return to tradition with the Chantry and reinstated the circles). I also vowed to shove Solas' staff so far up his ass he will be able to taste the grip on it.

Who could possibly want to cosplay as an elven version of Candace Liao, scornful look of condescension and all?

Now that is what I call terminal resting bitch face. Holy shit.

What do you guys think, could we bully convince Null to stream this pile of shit?
Judging by what gameplay I've seen and Null's gaming skills, I think it's a perfect match.
Unfortunately Joah doesn't have time for long story driven games in general. He only has time for endless hours of multi-player slop like Dota 2.

He literally just spent ten hours playing dustborn. It's not like he'd have to play more than a couple of hours. Unless there's some amazingly poorly executed sequence a la "my face is tired" just after a point where anyone not completely devoid of self respect would quit, we wouldn't be missing out on much if he calls it early.

His playing Dustborn was not a surprise. He played an even more boring game in Life is Strange. Alien Isolation was a huge exception.

He has stated multiple times that he doesn't have time for long games. I don't think he's ever played or cared to play a proper RPG. I'd rather be wrong, but I don't think it's happening.

I think he'd do well as a consistent Let's Player. He is at his funniest when making story decisions and commentary. I don't think he's very interested.

Good thing this isn't a proper RPG :smug:

You're probably right but it's not like anyone knew shit about Dustborn before it was loosed upon this world as a punching bag. If the game is enough of a trainwreck I think we could gaslight him into playing it.

I superchatted him on MATI. He said he didn't have time since he'll be streaming the next Life Is Strange instead in November.

Luke Stephens didn't either despite sucking the game's female cock for months. I suspect BioWare also look at the comments on these videos - you may need to meet a certain ratio of gushing genitalia there, as a few very obvious BioWare shills didn't as well.

That thing Eddie, who made that infamous "zippertits, awesome!" customization highlight video, got one though and is going all "Take that, haters!" on its social media. That thing deletes negative comments on its videos.

You seem more optimistic than me. I do hope that BG3's success means we get more higher quality strategy RPGs, not just Hasbro 5th edition DnD goyslop.

Same. Should be enough to get PE funds to oust every game company executive, alas. 15 years of pissing away billions.
