This is the correct take. The people complaining about him wasting time in New York are missing the point. Even if he ends up losing the state by 30 points or the entire election even it was 100% the correct move.

A lot of Trump's campaign moves for the past 2 weeks have almost felt like a victory lap.

Dude is coming for the popular vote this time, and he's helping other Republicans on the down ballots. I've said it before and I'll say it again: California and New York Republicans are what essentially saved the GOP's asses in the 2022 midterms.

Also, I think that Trump is actually trying for Virginia, New Mexico, and Minnesota now. He has one rally planned in VA and one in NM in the next handful of days, and the Trump campaign has officially made moves to really mobilize volunteers in Minnesota. Early voting numbers in all three of these states look really good for Trump right now, apparently.

Not saying that Trump is going to win these states, but the man is covering his bases and is playing to win, and win bigly. If this were any other GOP candidate, we know that they wouldn't be fighting like this. Never forget Mitt Romney's "47% comment" right before the 2012 election ... The fag admitted that he wasn't going to try to win over any new voters.

I talk to people. I knew who Kamala's VP pick was going to be within 24 hours of Biden bowing out, too. Not going to PL hard here, and obviously you can take or leave the info as you please! If it comes to pass, though, just remember your handicapper general had the scoop first.
I wasn't aware Kamala knew who her VP was going to be within 24 hours

What I appreciate is that this is him acknowledging all americans, not just the ones who voted for him. The Democrats will focus on the true blue states and give a bone to the swing states they need, but they will completely ignore the deep red states they would never win. Here it doesn't matter of Trump wins California or New York, but he still acknowledges their people as American citizens that he will be the president of. That's a pretty powerful move.

MSG rally isnt even about the election, it's about something much bigger and much more important. It's about totally changing the culture of the country. It's about broadcasting for all to see this is MAGA country and we reject everything the uniparty war machine represents.

It was a genius move and you have to admit Trump continues to knock every decision out of the park.

From the podcasts appearance JRE/Flagrant, going back to Butler, there eating the cats and dogs meme, Kamala aint black, the McDonalds drive thru troll and now the MSG rally.

This has to be one of the most dynamic well run campaigns of all time. A true masterclass.

All while giving us delightful and delicious white pills, free of charge!

How does Diana keep doing it? In THIS economy?

You just said it so confidently, I figured there had to be something or someone tipping you off rather than a guess. It's such a vague statement there aren't really any tea leaves to read either.

It is a good play really. Because the Democrats really only seem to be interested in ruling NY and Cali. Whenever you hear them talk, it is just them 2 states that only matter to them.

Unfortunately the twin cities completely wipe out all of the republican support in rural MN, but everyone I know around here has voted for Trump in the past two elections and will in the next one, myself included. I think it'll be possible to flip MN but only after some heavy weeding of the illegals hiding out in the cities. Not this election, but maybe the next after Trumps 2nd term.

Still optically retarded to make edgy jokes about a group so close to an election.
Tony's set at MSG was hilarious. I cringed so hard at first, knowing this would be used against Trump, but was lmao by the end, and for a while after, relaying the jokes to others.

He got just about everyone in his speech - I wonder why the Puerto Rico thing is getting all the attention. He made fun of all Latinos, blacks, Democrats and Republicans, Palestinians and Jews. I kept thinking... Oh, you can't say that! Then, wait, why can't you make jokes like that? Because of the fucking Democrats. The duplicitous, divisive left wing. We used to be able to make jokes like that. And we all got along a lot better. Remember In Living Color? That show made fun of literal retards. And the retards loved them for it.

His comedy is inclusive, the way it used to be. And he uses it to make a point about free speech. The timing is ballsy as shit. But Trump is truly cutting through the bullshit and reaching for the common American.

Imagine, all they had to do after stealing 2020 was just to improve the lives of the average American in just one metric. Just one, single demonstrable improvement in the quality of life to run on. They couldn't even do that. Was just too great of an ask.
They had to punish America as a whole for defying them. Fucking everything up to that extent is intentional.

Reading this old thread has been refreshing. It died quickly, but I remember the media still calling Kamala a vapid retarded whore (even liberal strongholds like The Guardian) circa April 2024.

The DNC really memory-holed how much of a fuck up Kamala is. Sadly, I think it has worked. People are now realizing again that Kamala is a retarded, but they have completely forgotten just how much of a retard she has been.

EDIT: Here's that Guardian article (archive) I was talking about. They even have a disclaimer saying "This article is old now. Please check the latest NPC update."

Remember Kamala Harris? Just a few years ago the first female vice-president of the US was surrounded by fanfare, splashed on the cover of Vogue and being feted as the future of the Democratic party. For a brief moment, it seemed plausible that Joe Biden, the oldest inaugurated president in history, might serve just a single term and then gracefully hand the reins over to his VP. “Ms Harris now finds herself the most clearly positioned heir to the White House,” the New York Times mused after the 2020 election.

Four years on and Harris’s position is a lot less clear. Indeed, you could be forgiven for forgetting that the vice-president even exists. And, to be fair, that’s because part of her job is ensuring she doesn’t steal the spotlight from her boss. Very few vice-presidents shine in the role; there is a reason Teddy Roosevelt once opined that the position “is not a stepping stone to anything except oblivion”. Biden, of course, was an exception to that. Still, he jokingly complained that being number two was “a bitch” back in 2014, when he was VP.

Even bearing in mind the inherent limitations of the position, however, Harris’s vice-presidency has been a damp squib. Not even Harris’s inner circle seem enthused by the 59-year-old: the early days of her vice-presidency were plagued with headlines about dysfunction and infighting in her office. Harris may have had a trailblazing career, but few people seem to take her seriously – not even allies dependent on US government aid. A recent report by the Washington Post, for example, suggests that the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy was irritated when Harris recently asked him to stop attacking oil refineries in Russia, and proceeded to ignore her because he wasn’t sure she (the vice-president!) actually reflected the Biden administration’s views.

The bad press has been accompanied by even worse polls. Indeed, an NBC News poll from last June found Harris had the lowest net-negative rating for any vice-president in the survey’s history – 49% had a negative view while 32% had a positive view. With the election drawing closer, the situation hasn’t much improved.

And while Harris has insisted she is prepared to serve as president “if necessary”, she is not widely seen as a shoo-in in the unlikely case that the Democrats replace Biden as the 2024 nominee. Rather, the California governor, Gavin Newsom, and Michelle Obama have been floated as more electable replacements.

So what went so terribly wrong? How did Harris go from being a rising star to something of an embarrassment?

Racism and misogyny obviously play some part. Trump has referred to Harris as “this monster” and the right have always been desperate to paint Harris in the most dehumanising light. It hasn’t helped, of course, that Biden gave Harris the impossible task of dealing with migration and border security, which put her even more firmly in the right’s firing line.

Still, it would be disingenuous to say that bigotry is at the heart of Harris’s image problem. Yes, the right automatically see the worst in her – but a hell of a lot of people on the left have been desperate to see the best in her. You did not have to be a Harris fangirl (and many progressives, alienated by her record as a prosecutor, were not) to want to see the first female vice-president, the first woman of colour vice-president, succeed.

Now, however, as one of the faces of Biden’s heartless policy towards Gaza, she has alienated many of the people who thought she represented a more inclusive future. “Can we really celebrate Black women in power who can’t use said power to prevent death and starvation inflicted on a stateless people?” the Washington Post columnist Karen Attiah wrote last month. “I – like an increasing number of voters – don’t think so.”

Ultimately, however, the problem with Harris isn’t so much her stance on Gaza so much as the fact that she doesn’t seem to have a genuine stance on anything. Throughout her career, Harris has been characterised by what the New York Times called a “lack of ideological rigidity”. Which is a polite way of saying she seems to believe in little except her own advancement. It’s been a successful strategy so far, but it may have finally come to an end.

So when this thread gets locked for being too large, can whatever mod make the new thread instead of just locking it so we can avoid the massive shit flinging that happened last time. People freaked because they thought they were going to get banned if they made a new one, not because they had to migrate threads.
It would make sense to start a new one once the election is called. This is originally the "Biden and his parade of failures" thread and we need a fresh start with a positive thread title.

I like that he is hitting on the American dream and the reality that it feels out of reach for most Americans. A lot of people remember that not long ago you could afford to have things that now seem out of reach - homes, cars, etc, and do so on a single income. Nowadays in a lot of spots if you aren't bringing home six figures you're living paycheck to paycheck. More than that it's like a malaise has set in on America under Biden, same as it did with the Carter admin, where it feels like we have lost a sense of greatness. Kamala is openly anti American and anti American people don't want America to be great they want the hordes of imported people they bring in to feel like they're the great ones, she inspires no sense of greatness or patriotism. Trump meanwhile wants us to feel great, he wants to revive American exceptionalism, and I think that would go a long way in restoring some of the spirit of this country.
