I saw President Clinton as a kid in the same town. My mom's friend parked her car on the side of the road to go and get some film for her camera with my mom. About 10 minutes after they left the President's motorcade came down my road and stopped. Two black Secret Service agents jumped out of their SUV and came running up to us asking whose car was parked by the road. We told him and he took out like 3 or 4 K9s and ran all the car and then jimmied the door open, ran the K9s through and then proceeded to hotwire the car and park it in my neighbors driveway.

Trump should get Hirohiko Araki to make him a suit. I know Clint Eastwood is friends with Araki, maybe he could hook it up. Imagine the style of Trump dressed like Funny Valentine. I saw Jeb Bush wandering around looking totally lost at Disney World back in 2017. lol.

The remaining Native Hawaiians are apathetic to how their government is screwing them over, as most (or some) of them have already moved to other States instead, namely Nevada. The emigration from Hawaii to Las Vegas is to the point that some people call Las Vegas the "9th Hawaiian Island", and the popular Hawaii restaurant chain Zippy's opened up one location in Las Vegas, and will be adding a second location in Vegas next year.
And since Blacks weren't mass affected by Lahaina, and are a massive minority compared to the Native Hawaiians and other Pacific Islander groups, they wouldn't have enough numbers to chimp out hard enough to cause THD.

Because Maui is the most gentrified of the islands and Lahaina has been a mini-Waikiki since the 1980s.
People with energy and drive almost always leave here, or at least make an attempt. I've left for both education and work multiple times. The locals who would make a fuss? They're in Vegas or on the West Coast.
As for those who remain? Let's just say Hawaii was born of the plantations, and those who remain aren't the type to break from the plantation mentality. As the saying goes here in pidgen "ainokea".

Unfortunately, no, my state is pretty safe so Trump never had a reason to come here to campaign. Closest I ever got to interacting with a president was when Clinton came through the state during his second term but I was a kid at the time, so I didn't really know or care that much
