If he was playing DFTR on stream, I think the game would have lasted longer.
Unsurprisingly for Phil, he also had the dumbest take on streaming a gacha game. He prioritized the boring gameplay and held the most interesting part of the game hostage (gacha pulls). No matter what game he streams, he turns it into garbage. Since WWEC started out as gacha garbage, it's not that shocking his audience got sick of it. Not to mention the constant haranguing and guilt-tripping for support.
Those are pretty good points, not focusing on gacha pulls especially seems like a solid way to doom the stream to boredom for the audience, but I think Phil himself is also bored because he's not using his main account. We know how much Phil loves "progress" and his new account will always be massively behind his main, especially since we're assuming he's still pumping the usual amount into his main offstream.
He might try to fix the snort fort for a refinance. He has been talking for ages to do a refinance of his condo. Considering what he has publicly claimed on stream his condo is on the verghe of falling apart (to puit it a bit extreme). A refinance does require a personal inspection right? So I guess he wants to somehow present a "functioning" condo.
This seems likely, before bankruptcy, he always talked about refinancing as being the hit new release that would save his
stream finances.
While it's also possible Phil is trying to fix things up to move, I have a lot of doubts about it. Similar to refusing to admit he's actually DFTR or banning Derich, Phil selling the Snort Fort would, in his mind, be a "win" for detractors because we've been saying for years how dumb it is for him to live in such an expensive area when he's a massive hermit. But it really depends on the narrative, as long as Phil could justify it in his mind as being a step up, he could spin it as a win. But Phil is also stupid and bases the value of things based on how expensive it is, so even if he moved to an actual house in a less expensive state, he might not see it as a win if the house isn't as expensive as the condo.
It's also possible the repairs are just because more people have been making fun of him for the state of his condo, so he's trying to put on his adult pajamas to LARP as a responsible
home condo owner. We also don't know if the time off has anything to do with the condo at all. Again, it's not impossible by any stretch of the imagination, but usually when Phil is playing coy about something, it ends up being the smallest of nothingburgers, so for all we know it's just Phil's haircut appointment got moved so he used it as an excuse to take two days off instead of one. Or maybe he's actually leaving the snort fort to do something Halloween related? I can't imagine him or Khet would have like, a party or anything to go to, but there could be a restaurant special or something else Phil-specific that's enough justification for him to step outside.
