Cast selection on early shows was fucking wild. There's a reason you don't see it any more. Puck on the Real World in 1994 was the watershed moment, although the tone was set by the first reality show on PBS of all things and producers have been trying to capture that lightning in a bottle ever since. Good mix of turbonormies, aspirational douchenozzles and total psychos.
we already talked about reality shows during the first season but in general first seasons of reality shows are the best because the behind the scenes people are just as fresh as the cast. Like the Amazing race's first season literally every trope of the show especially booking online is because of a gay couple that literally were world travelers and knew the ins and outs of everything and just wanted to be on a game show so all the typical stuff like getting earlier flights or bartering or other stuff you'll see every contestant do was just stuff they did and is why they were like a day ahead of a lot of the contestants near the very end.

Another good first season is the profit, where its pretty obvious the star had as little respect for the show as Sam Hyde does Fishtank and in response the show blatantly gave him bad edits and chose bad businesses for him to come into and "turn stuff around" and made him out to be an asshole who got in fights with people at the drop of a hat. It was the closest i've seen to a real life version of comedy central's review, because they just put him in such awful situations.

Then there's the amazing reality competition show Jenny Nicholson reviewed where they didn't test the competitions well enough so the fireman just demolished everyone in the very physical challenges.

IIRC Jersey Shore was a lot more down to earth than the later seasons, or at least that's what the exec producer said, she was worried people would find the show boring because the kids were so much nicer and more sober than she was back when she used to party at the Jersey Shore.

Wasn't Road Rules entirely created because of the feedback they got from viewers because of that one real world episode where one of the cast drove across the country to get to the house?

US Big Brother's first season was also really out there because they tried copying the UK version before settling on the silly competition stuff they do now

The first season of Jimmy Kimmel live was insane too, a new announcer every day and a different co-host every week. Jimmy just came out in normal clothes instead of a suit and tie, the set was bright like it was a daytime tv show, the show truely aired live, meaning they shot the fucking thing at 9pm, when most shows record at like 4pm, there was an open bar for the first show. jimmy's family would do segments. like his uncle would do movie reviews. It felt like they tried to make the cheapest fucking show they could.

If anything the fact that Fishtank isn't really that much better after 5 iterations of this proves how awful the behind the scenes people are.

So who all knows this time around?

Luke should know. If he doesn't it's because he's brain damaged.
Alex and Binx have both mentioned "fishtank." My understanding that Jet initially used the fishtank email to contact everyone, then told them it was cancelled, and used a different email associated with "famous house" to recontact them. Is that accurate? If so, we don't know if everyone was contacted by fishtank first, or only those two, or some number in between.
Binx seems savvy enough to figure it out, and her "career" seems like one that would benefit from fishtank, so I'm putting her on the list of people who know.
Alex seems like Jon, in that he could do research on fishtank and still not understand what he was signing up for. I'm putting him on the "maybe" list.
Smaak is in some sort of LGBT skateboarding group, has performed with Chappell Roan, and chided someone for saying "nigga." Probably wouldn't have been aware of fishtank, and probably didn't research it, or she wouldn't be here. There's a chance she's dirtbag leftist like Letty, though, especially if you take into account Chappell Roan's recent pseudo cancelling. If that's the case, she's pretty fantastic. Putting her in the "probably not aware, but I hope she is" category.
Burt has 160 IQ, is a paranoid schizophrenic, is hypersexual, and has jerked off 4 times. I'm putting him in the "probably knows, but I hope he doesn't" category.
Alexis and Mizzy undressed on cam. Initially this makes me think they didn't know the cameras were live, meaning they don't know. However, Mizzy exposed less than a bikini would, and Alexis was careful to keep her back turned to the camera. Focusing on Alexis, it could be that she knew taking her shirt off would make her more popular while leaving room for plausible deniability and without actually exposing anything. I'm putting these two in the "we don't know if they know" category.
Samal is an Indian. I'm putting him in the "doesn't know" category.
No one else has done anything of note that gives us any info, so they also go in the "we don't know if they know" category.

I already endorsed him on account of him being the most interesting via his backstory plus also already clearly the most unpredictable in a hilarious way. Even before he started jacking it people were already pointing out his goofy mannerisms. That and the fact he supposedly went through others bags (although I didn't see it on cam or any video of it here, I think I saw a screenshot on twitter of it happening).

Plus when you add 160 IQ + paranoid schizophrenic to the mix, things can only go up (or down) from here.

I'm team burt all the way.

The fish I want to win on Day 1 never does, but damn.

Burt is such an interesting guy.

Few notes of the morning of day 2
  • Team evil (also known as the O.G.'s), consisting on La'ron, mizzie and alexis, had a meeting in bedroom 2 where they showed their huge stash of candy to each other
  • La'ron states he would have been kicked out today if he had heard alex b say the n-word last night because he would have beat the shit out of him
  • Mizzie says Luke and other boys where trying to get alex to act out and they got him drunk on purpose
  • None of team evil like luke as he has shown he will steal
  • Alex apologizes in a roundabout way to several people by claiming he was drunk and has no memory of it
  • Burt spends a long time in the bedroom 3 bathroom, and with the door cracked you can hear him schizo babble to himself random nonsense, honestly reminded me of the acerthorn hotdog video type nonsense speak
  • Burt claims he takes alot of pills when asked about them to "keep me level, take me back up, and keep me healthy". He is a paranoid schizophrenic.

It's a tough premise to work with, one that sounds good but doesn't really work well in practice. The amount of gaslighting is just too much to sustain. Maybe they dialed in the more technical parts this time. I think the hard thing is that it's a hidden camera show masquerading as the other kind of reality TV.

If so, we don't know if everyone was contacted by fishtank first, or only those two, or some number in between.
I think they were all told different things and figuring out the plants and freeloaders is going to come up.

So who all knows this time around?

Luke should know. If he doesn't it's because he's brain damaged.
So far only Luke is confirmed.

Alex mentioned that he and Binx did something with the wiggers previously, but it sounds like there was a staged reality show that was never recorded and cancelled very quickly. They know the name Fishtank, but as it stands, they don't appear to know anything about it beyond the name.

Binx seems savvy enough to figure it out, and her "career" seems like one that would benefit from fishtank, so I'm putting her on the list of people who know.
Every single one of them is a wannabe influencer or actor, this isn't really specific to Binx. As above, we don't have any reason from what Binx has said to believe she is somehow in the know.

Smaak is in some sort of LGBT skateboarding group, has performed with Chappell Roan, and chided someone for saying "nigga." Probably wouldn't have been aware of fishtank, and probably didn't research it, or she wouldn't be here. The first half of this paragraph is most likely correct. She seems too dumb to be doing some 4D Chess.

Burt has 160 IQ, is a paranoid schizophrenic, is hypersexual, and has jerked off 4 times. I'm putting him in the "probably knows, but I hope he doesn't" category.
He's 160 IQ, but he's also a complete and utter social retard. I'd also put him in the 'probably does not know' camp. I imagine the only thing Burt uses the internet for is to goon.

Alexis and Mizzy undressed on cam. Initially this makes me think they didn't know the cameras were live, meaning they don't know. However, Mizzy exposed less than a bikini would, and Alexis was careful to keep her back turned to the camera. I'm putting these two in the "we don't know if they know" category.
Also in the don't know camp. They're just wannabe influencers/actors/musicians. They were walking around pointing at the cameras early on Day 1. They were all informed that they will be recorded 24/7, so it's not a shock that they won't want to get fully naked/do so in view of the cameras.

I think you're reading far too much into this, putting two and two together, and getting fifty. Retards like this will be more than willing to sign up for something with little-to-no-knowledge/research. They were told that it was going to be recorded and produced for a major TV network, and the hiring company the wiggers used checked out for them as legit, so that was probably all they needed/cared about.

I'm not saying that there aren't plants in here. Your arguments for them just don't hold up. Time will tell.

There seem to be different degrees of knowledge, Binx follows ice Posiedon but is also and irl streamer so there is some deniability there, her and alex b both know about a show called fishtank as they where from an eariler round of interviewee's, Luke obviously knows, alex b mentioned that "there was an earlier version of this show that was outdoors before this one". burt stated that he was going on a livestreamed show but also said it wouldnt be coming out until 2025 so i dont think he knows what the show is or that its actually live to an audience.

in my opinion- Alex b, luke, binx, and mizzie know something. mizzie has been laying low comparatively but i think she is saavy to whats going on.

Gotcha. Even so, it would be easy for them to Google it.

A wanna-be actor probably doesn't want to associate with someone like Sam Hyde. Edgy egirl cosplay person probably gets more simps.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking.

I was mostly joking, but I can see where a paranoid skitzo would google everything possible (like the name fishtank), and I can see how a gooner like Burt would be incredibly aroused by the thought of livestreaming himself gooning to thousands of people.

I mean I was just theorizing. There aren't any strong arguments to be made yet.

What did I miss involving Mizzie?

Gotcha. Even so, it would be easy for them to Google it.
You're giving these retards too much credit. They saw 'big production for major network' and saw that the hiring agency was legit and signed the contract.

A wanna-be actor probably doesn't want to associate with someone like Sam Hyde. Edgy egirl cosplay person probably gets more simps.
This entire argument on your end is essentially, 'She's a livestreamer, therefore she knows about fishtank'. It doesn't add up, you need more substance. She's into people like finnster based on her social media posts, Sam Hyde's side of the internet is a completely alien world to someone like her. As an IRL streamer, it's to be expected she would follow Ice.

I was mostly joking, but I can see where a paranoid skitzo would google everything possible (like the name fishtank), and I can see how a gooner like Burt would be incredibly aroused by the thought of livestreaming himself gooning to thousands of people.
Again, I think you're giving him too much credit. Gooning is his entire life, researching fishtank would take time away from that. Like the others, he would've just heard that a major network was producing a reality show and be satisfied by that. He said in his confessional that he wants to use this experience to raise his profile among gay black men. He's clearly clueless about what he's involved in.

I wouldn't be shocked if some of them have realised/are starting to realise that everything is not as it seems, but I think that's the extent of it for everyone bar Luke.

Clueless about the overall nature of the show, maybe. But quite evidentally very excited by the oppurtunity to goon in front of thousands, which is probably his main motivation at this point.
I sincerely believe that his urge to goon made him forget that he was being recorded 24/7. He may also have assumed that the cameras don't have night vision/not be aware where they're positioned.
