The Official Simpsons Griefing Thread

It is the only thing that I vividly remember disturbing on The Simpsons. I especially hated Santa’s Little Helper mauling Bart lol.
Ya know in hindsight the oldschool Treehouse of Horror episodes served as pretty good introductions to the genre for the literal little gay baby children of the 90s.

In terms of ones I recall freaking little gay baby holden out when I first watched them, the evil krusty doll one in III was surprisingly creepy, I remember getting freaked out by the bus gremlin segment in IV especially when it taunted Bart with Ned's severed head, and the cannibal teacher segment of V genuinely gave me nightmares. The last one I was young enough to be unironically creeped out by was the Nightmare on Elm Street segment of VI, which just about marks the point where the show itself was getting stale and I was no longer a literal 7 year old.

Given the biggest competition they had for "babys first spooky" was fucking Goosebumps though its not like the market for that specific niche was saturated with cawntent

Happy Halloween everyone! To get in the spirits I recommend listening to the radio play that inspired the legendary ending to Treehouse of Horror V.
I think David Mirkin might be one of the most overlooked creatives involved on The Simpsons. His tenure as showrunner really just brought in an absurdist tone that’s unique to Seasons 5 and 6. If you want Mirkin’s humor watch the severely underrated sitcom “Get A Life” with Chris Elliot.

Also make sure to buy quality weather strippings.
Still love that bit

Just! One sniff of that gas and you're
In...
side
OUT!

Oh but I have heard so many h*ckin hyped recommendations for the new season! Why I'm sure if I gaze upon the synopsis of this new season opener I will be blown away by the sheer creativity and hilari.....

So they're just doing the South Park episode where Stan gets older and thinks everything is shitty? A South Park episode that's over a decade old BTW.

To be fair most modern Simpsons fans are the types who'd probably clap like seals and act like the Simpsons predicted it. Though if I had a nickel for everytime a political candidate said that specific line, I'd have two nickels, not a lot but odd it happened twice

That always pisses me off. Especially retards that think Simpsons predicted Trump's presidency when everyone and their fucking mother predicted he would run since the 80's.

Yeah and like almost anyone can make a unintentional funny prediction now.

Simpsons prediction memes are fucking gay.

More like the more recent SP episode where the gimmick is it was written by an AI.

I had once predicted they would be resurrecting the dead steamed hams fad a while back and pozzing it to death, and while I was thankfully wrong at the time I dont think we will be so fortunate this time. Atleast it has a truly phenomenal writer at the he...

...oh dear

Also why the fuck do the writers keep using patty and selma for these self declared "feminist" episodes? Its like the 3rd time I have seen this shit happen in the last couple years. Maybe its in Kavner's contract that they get more screentime so she can make the most use of her mutilated voicebox

I don't care enough to illegally download this, and for some reason they aren't uploading current season episodes to the site I stream cartoons on.

Saw the new Treehouse, and man almost every VA at this points sounds so old.
It's only going to get worse until either the show is mercifully finally put down or they just use ai. I know it's been said millions of times now but ya' know, we're spinning our wheels just like the show in discussing this shit.

My idea for a finale is that the family goes on a car trip and get into a horrifying car accident and they all just fucking die.

I rewatched an old classic for spooky season...

I have some questions.
Who wrote this book?
And for what purpose? Is there really a market for a book just to cook a single specific child?
How did they create these recipes in the first place when the primary ingredient is still currently alive?

Still a great episode. I'm just being an autist lol.
