Realistically, how many people registered as a party vote for the other. I understand a few do to vote in the primaries but what's really the point?
This data is sourced from a data company known as "TargetSmart" and their "model of party affiliation". If you go on this company's about page and ctr-F "progressive", you'll see they're not exactly an unbiased source.
The website I've been using to analyze the early voting results is L2 data, which Yale apparently finds trustworthy enough to license.

SOUTH/WEST
Arizona - 42% Rep 36% Dem 16.1% Indie
Nevada - 38% Rep 36% Dem 19.9% Indie
Georgia - 42% Rep 42% Dem 15.9% Indie
North Carolina - 34% Rep 33% Dem 32% Indie

RUST BELT
Wisconsin - 50% Rep 32% Dem 18.1% Indie
Michigan - 41% Rep 53% Dem 6.3% Indie
Pennsylvania - 31% Rep 58% Dem 8.6% Indie

Keep in mind that this data is based on party registration and doesn't actually tell us which person was voted for; it doesn't take into account cross-party voting and it gives no indication as to how independents are voting.
I’ve got no evidence for this, just a hunch really, but I’m pretty sure the Dem>Trump crossover is going to be significantly higher than the Rep>Harris one. Also that there’s going to be way more independants voting for Trump than Harris.

Never Trump Republicans do exist among the populace but they’re heavily overrepresented in the media and the elite. I doubt they make up any significant part of the electorate.

From a few pages back, but that thumbnail for that Bernie youtube makes his one visible eye look like some kind of lizard person eye. You'd think whoever makes these vids would like to avoid that. Even setting the eye aside, he just looks horribly ghoulish in the thumbnail.

All the left has to do to prevent the rise of the right is ensure that its citizens are treated well and have access to a good quality of life

Something impossible for them to do
This is why I roll my eyes whenever they state how "If you guys want to have kids then vote for policies that help people have more children." while they do nothing when they're in power except import more migrants. What's even crazier is that they blame republicans striking down bills that would of helped, but democrats have had power in states like California for years and have never once passed any of these policies.

LIVE: Donald Trump hosts surprise press conference in Florida

Ehh it wasn't a good look for trump to state that the leaders of central america and such that released their criminals to send them to the US were doing a bad thing but then to almost immediately point out he'd have done the same thing in their position. He really shouldn't have said that, if the dems have any sense they'll jump on that and plaster it all over the place

I am 100% in favor of sending all our dark-skinned criminals to Europe.

He's been saying this for months

I'm still registered as a Democrat from 2020 because my state has closed primaries, and since Trump was already the nominee this time I didn't see a point in changing party again. I'm almost certainly an outlier, and I doubt there are a lot of people voting for the party they're not registered with.

He’s been saying that for months if the Dems had any sense they would have tried to use it when he said it at the RNC or after he said it the 500 other times at his rallies.

That's exactly what he did with the tax codes in 2016 and it made him wildly popular. The idea that the leaders are behaving the way they do because the system in place incentivizes it, the same system he pledges to fight tooth and nail to fix. I remember Dave Chapelle did a comedy set outlining exactly this phenomenon and why it's such a politically brilliant thing to do.

Plus, it takes some of the heat off the leaders in question, which makes sense given he's going to have to establish good diplomatic relations with them.

He has this boomer instinct to suck up to and flatter people he views as "leaders" or otherwise impressive. That instinct is responsible for a LOT of the rakes he steps on, along with the majority of his bad staffing decisions that don't get remediated quickly.
