It's when someone comes into a discussion and asks an obviously not legitimate question that completely misinterprets the point you are trying to make so they can talk about what they actually want to talk about how you are bad

Isn't that just a strawman? I guess the question is rhetorical because I only ever see communists seriously use the term "sea lioning" and the answer to that problem is [FEDPOST REDACTED].

Just a reminder, Kamala has discussed specific plans on how her administration plans on lowering grocery prices. She said she was going to implement price caps. It was such an unpopular policy that leftists news anchors were reminding normies that price caps are a failed soviet policy. She never addressed the backlash or pulled back any of her statements about price caps. She still says she has a plan for grocery prices but is no longer willing to give specifics.

I think the main distinction is sea lioning starts off with asking a question that seems innocuous so they can say I am just asking questions bro why won't u answer a simple question?
