It's mystifying to me how terrible these non-practicing YouTube lawyers are at taking their own advice. ie

Get it in writing. Verbal contracts are worth the paper they're written on.
Never talk to the cops. Tell them you're remaining silent until your lawyer arrives.
Avoid involvement in defamation lawsuits. Do whatever it takes to make them go away.

It's just as well these people aren't practicing. They'd be ruining lives, left right and centre if they were.

Back in the 80's, I remember High Times would be pushing vacations in Negril in what seemed to be every issue. It was so obvious that somebody was paying them to fly out somebody to write puff pieces on the place. I don't recall any mention of swinging back then but there was a lot of chat about psychedelic mushroom omlettes for breakfast and how the weed was great and freely available.

Presumably the place that turned into Hedonism II would have been the only resort in that location back then? One of the things that they would go on and on about was the 'unspoiled beauty' of Negril.
