If Bob's a lolcow now, I wonder what the tipping point was between 2011, when he ended Game Overthinker and now. It honestly should have been the point when he suggested a way for Sega to revamp Sonic the Hedgehog. He actually said they should kill the cast. And that Sonic needs to stop hanging around cities and humans, it was incongruous and sloppy looking, and Sonic looks stupid hanging around human beings and even stupider trying to fuck one of them.

It started to get a lot more ridiculous when Bob started doing a lot more skits. Of all Youtuber's to mimic styles, why go for the Irate Gamer? I mean, he was so uncreative. He had two ninjas who were recolors of each other, and all they could do was literally dance around for 30 minutes, I'm not joking.

Ironically, the very last episode of Game Overthinker involved Bob thinking about the one thing he entirely overlooked in the thought process of his series that gave him notoriety, himself.

Bob wasn't thinking over the fact he was becoming a lolcow.

Yeah, TGWTG people love to dump on Chris even though Chris seems more like a lovable loser and they seem really obnoxious and unaware of the limits of their abilities.

Bob definitely seems to have a lot of respect for TGWTG and AVGN, judging by the fact that he seems to be on pretty good speaking terms with Lindsey Ellis, Todd in the Shadows, Linkara, and Spoony and has talked a few times on twitter about the significance of AVGN. This makes him pretty much the exact kind of person who would never consciously crib from Chris Bores.

If anything, the Game Overthinker storyline shares a lot of DNA with Linkara's material, given that they're both about out of shape guys whose opinions about nerd shit will help save the world. They also they each have a magic weapons and draw heavily from tokusatsu series for inspiration.

Blob can not form his own opinions, so he bases his opinions off of 80s and early 90s telly, hence, a worldview spoonfed by pop culture.
In other words, Blob is the living embodiment of the worst of 80s consumerism and brand loyalty.

Bob is certainly stuck in the 80s and 90s but I think the FPS thing has a lot to do with when they rose to prominence on consoles and what that shift in the medium symbolizes to him. He's been pretty vocal about how he basically thinks Playstation and later Xbox brought the "undesirables" to the community through their focus on less mascot oriented stuff and more "mature" content like sports sims and shooters. Couple that with the fact that he seems to have felt that the people who bullied him astroturfed his hobby and dethroned Nintendo and you get a pretty good idea where a lot of this stuff comes from. He's more or less said this in the past and its not too different from WHY he had such a violent reaction to Pixels as well: he considered Pixels "cultural vandalism", where the normies rolled in and desecrated something he loved. It's why he also hates the rise of minecraft and horror game Let's Plays, because a generation of kids are having their formative gaming experiences OUTSIDE of Nintendo, which he considers essential and foundational.
