How will Bob react to seeing the Mario film?

Has Bob commented one way or another on the new iOS (mobile) Mario game? I'd imagine shit like that would be completely Haram to a Nintendo purist like him, but it would also mean criticizing not only Nintendo generally but Miyamoto personally since IIRC Miyamoto was apparently more involved in a hands on way in creating the mobile game than he has been in any other game this century.

Went looking, but I found nothing on his twitter and his dumpster fire of a blog makes me want to gouge my eyes out with a spork every time I try to read it.
On that note, what does he think of Nintendo teaming up with Nvidia (scary 'Murican company) to create the Switch? I mean, to me, it shows a sign of maturity in a company known for being a bit too Japan-centric to come out and actually embrace technology and collaboration from outside sources, but I'm not an Internet critic, so what would I know?

Actually, one of Bob's Broken clock moments was about how he reacted to the AVGN Ghostbusters thing. He thinks at worst, James was guilty of not explaining his position very well and that he has mostly been proven right by history.

"Bob was right" is not something I like saying, so I'mma go take a quick shower.

Or it could be that Bob didn't have the balls to go after AVGN. If some lower tier youtuber had said the same thing Bob may have gone after him harder.

Bob will chug Nintendo's dong no matter what unless they start making violent FPS games or something.

I think Bob has probably met James IRL at a few conventions and has commented that he was a big influence on the Overthinker.

But yeah, Bob's go to attack for shitting on smaller people is to call them a knock off of more popular people. Sargon became an Amazing Atheist Ripoff, Rageholic was a Spoony Ripoff, etc.

Wow, that makes Devin Faraci look even more scummy. More pathetic and stupid than Bob is not a good position to be in.

Fun Fact: Faraci being a gross ass pervert was an open secret for years. I used to follow a few guys on twitter who wouldn't share links to B.A.D./B.M.D. and would tell people who did not to because they all knew what kind of guy Faraci was. Bob likely would have had a lot of support if he had ever come forward about what he knew about Faraci, as I knew a lot of people who were pretty vocal about it between 2011 and 2014.

They already have cheated on their principles, or at least the ones Bob ascribes to them, multiple times, yet he still doesn't care.

The SNES Mortal Kombat was a sanitized version of the Genesis port, and they took a ton of shit for it even though on technical level the SNES version looked and played better.

Since then, Nintendo cast aside the family friendly image they had cultivated for years and never looked back for the most part. Sure, they still kept up the pretense for the remainder of the SNES era, but by the time of the Gamecube they realized blood and guts (if not tits) in games drew money, so they cast their family friendly policy down the well for the most part ever since.

And they already had a strikingly faithful port of Doom for the SNES, and even prided themselves on being willing to keep Resident Evil just as bloody and violent as it was on Playstation. They still try to maintain the facade of family friendliness to some degree, since they built a brand off of it, but if they start losing enough money, that goes out the window.

In short, Bob has a romanticized portrait of Nintendo that he's willing to hold onto, even when it is obviously not true, and it's really pathetic.

Come to think of it, the first No More Heroes was a Nintendo Wii exclusive, at least initially. Not really a shooter per se, but lots o' blood, chicks in sexy outfits, sexualized jokes about "soiled" video tapes, etc. Even a prominently displayed box of tissues by Travis's easy chair, presumably so he could do what he needed to do. Games like this seem like prime material for Bob trolling. Bit surprised it hasn't been done before.

At first Bob was extremely skeptical, largely due to his hatred of Apple, and compared the thought of evil, gaijin Apple buying his dear, sweet Nintendo to a nightmare. Yes, a man who won't shut up about how much America needs a technocratic, post-industrial society hates Apple. :story:

When the game came out however, he changed course, retweeting people who were mocking the rightful complaints that it costs too much for a game like it, and generally sucking Nintendo's dick yet again.

Bob's 'Beetus Brain is a mess of contradictions.

You're forgetting Eternal Darkness, Mad World, etc.

He means that video games, as we know of them today, are heavily influenced by Japanese developers on the NES in the wake of the '83 crash.
But that's not true. Tell me how Daggerfall, SimCity, Maniac Mansion, Total War, DOOM, Grand Theft Auto, Madden or Gears of War are "heavily" influenced by Japanese games in any way, shape or form.

I don't know which is worse. Bob's pseudo Italian accent or the idea that people still make movies based off video games.

I thought they had been working with ATI as far back as the Gamecube?

And they already had a strikingly faithful port of Doom for the SNES
Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...
In case you're wondering: yes, enemy sprites can only face toward the player. Now imagine if consoles like the SNES held the PC back as much as they do now.

And if we're talking censorship, well there is the green blood in the GBA version.

I said faithful, I didn't say completely accurate.

They kept as much of the violence as they could given the limitations and didn't censor the story like they did with Wolfenstein 3D, but otherwise it was limited due to the SNES' memory and processor issues.

The GBA version, no disagreements from me.

Back on the subject of Bob himself, I find him a walking case of irony.

He's an overgrown manchild who jacks off to Mario Brothers and has bet on the losing horse of SJWism and gotten burned every time to the point it's just pathetic and he still thinks he's on the right track to becoming an ubermensch anyway.

I'm guessing he means that the NES popularized the idea of narrative in games as opposed to mindless high score racking, but this would only apply to the late 80s and early 90s, really. At least, that's what I'd HOPE that he would mean and I'd hope for someone to be rational. Even then, there were still games with narratives developed without Japanese influence during this time, like Doom.

Knowing Bob, he has a vision of Cliffy B. possessing an evil round table of execs looking at a cart of Super Mario Bros. 3 and stating aloud "LET US MAKE THIS, BUT DESTROY ALL OF THAT DIRTY JAPANESE WHIMSY AND REPLACE IT WITH AMERICAN VIOLENCE!" before breaking out into maniacal laughter.

And then someone throws a dart at a picture of Shigeru Miyamoto.

Bob basically thinks of a lot of those guys as jocks who learned to code.
