Apparently hunting rifles don't shoot many bullets because they have camo paint and pistols don't shoot many bullets because they're physically smaller.
They always get mixed up between assault, semi-auto and auto weapons. Automatic weapons are banned in most states. While assault weapon is a made up term.

Every attempt to define "assault weapon" always boiled down to just shooting fast. I remember one definition, from some ATF nigger I think, that would've legalized machine guns like the M3 grease gun because they didn't want anything that could allow more than 600RPM. Doesn't matter if it's semi-auto, if you can trigger mash it to make it shoot faster than 600RPM then it's an a salt weapon.
If such a reworking of definition became law then it wouldn't be hard to just add retarders to trigger groups to coomply but it's obvious that they want guns illegal so they'll just start going after the retarder as a loophole. Or you can just add stronger springs to make it a little harder to pull the trigger. A lot of military derived guns have gross squishy triggers (Euro guns) that are hard to shoot fast too
