Mega Rad Gun Thread

I was reminded of something recently. An absurdly small folding .22 pistol with several unique characteristics
-As mentioned, absurdly small, especially in the width department, as in anorexic thin
-folded in some way
-I believed it used an unconventional magazine type, top loading with the actual bullets pointed skywards
-downward ejecting through the pistol grip
-relatively high mag capacity for the size of gun due to the unique style of magazine, I believe the capacity was 10-12 rounds and I believe the magazines were either transparent or maybe red tinted
its the ounce oz

it is out of stock on their website but there is a guy on 4chan that posts about his on the weapons board. its very mechanically weird, its long recoil iirc

I mean you're right. It just looks cool. Probably trash though.
I'm sure it is at least functional, but I don't know how reliable it would be in the long run, given the reputation of Turkish guns. It's not significantly cheaper than a 10/22 so I don't think it's worth it. Plus you get a much better platform with the 10/22, lots more parts available for it, you can build whatever you want on top of it.

For example, Woox chassis:

Not the worst option for getting started with a 10/22 while on a budget, can replace parts as you go and sell off what you don't need.

My 10/22 started off as that same exact cheapo model, got it for a decent price, sold off parts I didn't need, and at the end I essentially got the receiver for free, everything else was replaced and the cost of selling the parts covered my initial expense.

Meanwhile buying a stripped receiver alone is still around $100-150 depending on the configuration.

What is the advantage to a 10/22 in today’s market when the SW 15/22 exists? Seems to me like the 15/22 already comes ready to mount any accessory you could want.

Mine is set up for hunting, I find that a traditional-shaped stock like the Magpul Hunter X-22 makes it a lot handier and easier to maneuver in thick brush, less prone to snagging as there's no protruding pistol grip or magazine. The traditional rifle stock is also more robust, less parts to break since it has no buffer tube or a collapsing stock.

The goal for that build was to have something sleek and compact for hunting, nothing fancy. Running the Magpul X-22 stock, Kidd bolt, Ruger BX trigger, a 12.5" bull barrel, and an 1-6 LPVO.

I don't even run the 25 rounder mags for hunting, those protrude too much, while the standard 10 rounder mags can be difficult to remove. Found that coupling together two 10 round mags using a coupler from High Tower Armory makes the resulting double mag very handy to insert and remove, but without it sticking out too far and catching on everything.

I just saw a brand new OD Green P2000 at the local gun store, and I think I may have to get it.

I mean, I already have one, but this one would match my OD Green HK45.

Unpopular opinion but the p2000 is an obsolete and outdated gun. Looks cool but that's all it has going for it.

Desert tan should be dead (unless you live in like Arizona), coyote brown should also be out of the door now that Europe is becoming more of a focus for western militaries after the GWOT era. Bring in the green guns!

I sincerely hope FDF adopts these SAKO ARs in this green colour. Sweden is going with coyote brown.

Always preferred Ranger Green and OD. They work in a surprising amount of environments.

My latest 22 was a bolt action rifle. That way I can slap a silencer on it and it can run anything. Accuracy is decent for a 22 as well.

you know what pisses me off? When I'm searching for PROJECTILES and get results for CARTRIDGES. I want 9.3mm Projectiles, I don't need 9.3x62 or 9.3x74r cartridges.

I swear the internet didn't used to be this opaque. most of the time you have to shift through mountains of shit to find what you need. it's not hard to do but i shouldn't have too.

I got hits for projectiles immediately by using "9.3mm bullets" and ".366 bullets":

If I am having difficulty finding what I want, or anticipate it not coming up via search engine, I just go to Graf's and search the appropriate category by cartridge, or caliber. Usually quicker and gives you a good sample of what is manufactured whether they have it in stock or not.

It didn't. Search engines are now a ploy to keep you looking at ads for as long as possible. Searching went from finding what you are looking for as fast as possible to making it as slow as possible, if not impossible.

That is nice man. Personally I want the classic hardwood stock, iron sight Ruger. I see them go on sale all the time. That or this one:

Saw it go on sale for $319 once, and I'm kicking myself for not getting it then lol. I just want it classic, no mods. I think the contrast when loading in a 25 round mag into this hunting style rifle is just peak asthetics.
It's a P30 without the customizable grip.

Glocks are more outdated than the USP, of which the P2000 is a direct descendant.
Glock is basically the same gun for 5 generations. Yes its outdated.
