LMAO. This world is so small. I remember this tranny. He used to work with Jim Sterling on Jimquisition. He also worked in kotaku.

All these "anti-establishment" leftists faggots know each other and play happily the nepotism game, despite having no talent for the position. I wish that the right had the cold-blood to do the same

If BioWare get gutted by EA in the next few years then may be this hypothetical 5th entry will be a novel and not a game.

Yeah, the series always had left leaning ideas, and funnily enough some conservative ones (especially now with the Overton window fucked).

It wasn’t originally a non-stop leftist sermon though. It became that over time.
They like to do this disingenuous thing where “this media showed X, therefore it’s always been our thing.”

Is anyone actually using Origin? It's never been popular and I can't imagine most people even have it installed anymore at this point.

uh ... well ...

Look, I already had physical copies of DA Origins and ME1, and Origin let me reinstall them whenever I liked without the CDs.

DA has always been as generally liberal as BioWare itself was.

Its politics are…honestly all over the place. Is Bhelen in origins a liberal? Is Hawke a refugee? Merethari is coded as “conservative” but Merrill wants to restvre Elvenhan. One could also read Hawke as basically a failed scion/patriarch, he just wasn’t able to save his family and his city. Which is a tragedy, not a liberal morality play. Anders’ revolutionary zeal and the fallout it caused and Bhelen’s scumminess, along with the Dalish(the indigenous stand ins) being fundamentally wrong in a way their oppressors aren’t does make the game less left leaning than some of its fans would like tbh.

If the game is liberal in any deeper sense? It’s that change is inevitable and trying to bring back the past is futile and self destructive? Which I guess?

I think DA tends to emphasize that change isn’t easy or pleasant but it is sometimes necessary.

Everything from the dwarf politics to Anders I think bears this theme out-change is necessary, especially when institutions and entire societies inevitably become staid, corrupt and or ineffectual. Which isn’t in itself a liberal message? I mean, beyond some sort of caricature I guess?

Isn't it weird that dragon age veilguard is on top sellers and has 630 reviews but most others in top sellers are in the thousands?
Well, it's 1,500 on my end, but given the discord around the game, It should definitely be higher.

What's even more weird is that it's sitting at mostly positive right now. Not because I think steam reviews are indicative of a game's quality, but because there's no way a a game with the reputation it has wouldn't launch to at least mixed.

Honestly, I think it says something about how scummy Bioware is if there's this much skepticism surrounding the reception of the game.

Also,

Don't worry, it's already dropped below that game's concurrent playerbase.

So few people use it that they rebranded the whole thing to just "EA App" like 2 years ago and nobody even noticed or cared.

Oh yeah ... they did drop the Origin name. I use it every time I play ME or DA and I never noticed.

Interesting, Is it different by region?

It's mostly women that don't wanna be called dykes, had some form of childhood trauma/neglect, AND browsed social media and forum sites that other girls like them created.
It's a made up thing that they can feel special and can create their own expectations of what it means. They don't feel like they are what a woman (or a man) should be so they choose to be something that most people have no idea what it is so they have no expectations for.
Lol couldn't be more wrong. It's internalized misogyny that results from some form of being sexualized. Girls see puberty, see how it makes men treat them differently (aka getting leered at, catcalled, sexualized, etc.) and they freak out. They decide to go nonbinary as a way to magically avoid that because, in their mind, if they don't feel like a woman, then they aren't, and thus men can't treat them like sex objects. (I don't get it, either.)

Anyway, about Bioware. God I hope they die. I liked their games. I loved Mass Effect (kickass writing, esp. good teammates who even had controversial opinions, woah). Fuck, remember when they were considered the cream of the crop, as far as RPGs went? And now look at it. A cancerous, fetid troon corpse. Reap what you sow, faggots.

You're both wrong, it's a cry for attention from people that feel excluded. "Look at me I'm genderspeshule" that's what it is. Same with trannies, they just wanna feel special and have privileges over others.

I am going to have such a good time using these diversity features in ways completely opposite to how the devs wanted them to be used.
Also that first scene where my obese, trans, facial-haired, fucked up makeup MC has a meltdown in a local business, starts attacking people and then headbutts a defenceless woman, it's just like real life!!

He also uses the term "regresso em grande do Bioware" at one point which sounds really weird and unnatural, but this one could be a case of Portugal speak as they all sound kinda weird to other Lusophones.
That would be something, except if you check the guy's articles, he has another Bioware one, where he does still call it "o Bioware", which sounds retarded to the ear because youd use the femenine adjective to say Bioware, like everyone else does.
In this case, I classify it as this guy "Pedro Pestana" genuinely being retarded.
