At 2:29, UrbanSPOOK got featured. Talk about a huge case of irony there, folks. The Trump of the Analog Horror community still got recognition even after all the controversy. Don't even need to like the dude to realize how hilarious this is.

Of course, people aren't taking it well, especially considering the Mandela Catalogue, Gemini Home Entertainment, The Monument Mythos, etc (which, are arguably one of the pioneers of ((modern)) analog horror)) weren't showcased in the video whatsoever. Felt strange to me. You'd think they'd be the first shown. At least Local58TV was showcased.

I wanted to check out the welcome home stuff out of mild curiosity, and hey, I'd always watched his coverage of it before. I can sit through his faggot voice.

When I saw this, it made me fly into a blind rage. You try to sit there and get immersed but whenever something spooky happens, you see fucking sargent leatherhead on the side of the screen in his gay daddy bara vtuber rig.

I've complained before, but back then it was plausible deniability between his furry content and his main channel. Now? This faggot is one of the few I've seen who is just universally despised by damn near everyone. As TokiBun said, the people "defending" him aren't even doing so, they're just looking for an excuse to hate on Wendigoon. I don't see him ever being able to come back in any meaningful capacity. He's that one cousin who showed up to Christmas dinner, fucked the turkey, set the tree on fire, called Meemaw a "white devil mayo ghoul racist" after dousing her in piss, and beat the dog. Then after all that, he had the nerve to tell everyone "I AM SANTA, GET ON MY LEVEL" as the cops took him away to detox and press some charges. Thats the level of "irredeemable" this faggot is at.

Then theres his smugness. That is the shit that will never allow him to gain an audience again more than anything. Being smug as a defining feature only works when you're knowledgable, witty, charming, you know, positive qualities that can help balance it out. It would be a legit top-tier analog horror series if it was based on bodycam footages, home videos and 911 calls rather than a boring slideshow that shoves repetitive crappy gore scenes down your throat.

He already did come back. At the same time he dropped that non-apology, he dropped a 6 hour John Waters analysis. From what little I can see of his Patreon posts without paying him, it looks like he's going to just ignore the backlash and keep trucking with uploads.

He has a small but dedicated audience that'll kiss his ass in his Discord hugbox, and he's making $1,235/mo on Patreon. So if he just stops talking about it publicly, he'll probably be fine.

I'm honestly very impressed with how the new episode of The Painter has turned out - as others on this thread have said, the guy making it doubled down in response to the criticism, but he's also improved on pretty much all the issues regarding the series's quality, and it really shows - this was genuinely pretty great.

It'll be interesting to see where the series goes from here, now that the killers have been caught. I also think it's cool that the series decided to go the route it did by having one of the two killers be shot and killed with no fanfare whatsoever - it's honestly a breath of fresh air from the usual "OoOoOoOoOo SPOOKY ALL POWERFUL GOD ALIEN DEMON MONSTER BABY THAT YOU CANNOT KILL AND WILL MAKE YOU DEADER THAN DEAD! PLEASE BE SCARED!!!1111" antagonists that infest the Analog Horror subgenre at the moment.
