Twitter update: April is confused and disappointed that everyone thinks she is still on drugs. [ X | Archive ]

Gee, I dunno, Ape. Might be because you’re tweeting like you’re on drugs and making drug-themed youtube playlists. Just a guess, though.

In my view he was never much of one.

But I was really trying to quell the spin-up or false lore creation.
I mean, if you're encountering people claiming he was disbarred then, by all means, correct that. That's patently false.

However, my point is, as of November 1st, I think it's entirely defensible to say he's not a lawyer anymore. Not just a non-practicing lawyer. A non-lawyer.

Now, how long that lasts, I can not say. He might intend to get it back, or he might be giving up the ghost completely.

Personally, I hoping it's the latter. Not out of any animus towards him, but rather because I think he has the potential to really lead people astray with his garbage tier legal takes.

I remember Rekieta bragging about how IMPORTANT that license was that he earned it and it was his to keep.
Obviously not important enough to pay some cheap fees or keep it maintained properly.
Neglected just like his kids.
That’s a question, can you set the renewal to pay automatically on debit? Anyone know?
Now i know it's bad form to be judging men's tastes in women but, what the fuck where either of them thinking in creating this trashfire over a woman that looks like this?
And on that note, just what did nick already DO to kayla to get her looking like a fallout ghoul years prior?

I doubt you have to worry honestly. At this point he is so done with covering law topics that even if he got it back he’d do nothing with it. And in his state no one will listen to him unless he is of sound mind and he is past the point where he will ever be of sound mind again. The Farms will make sure of that.

Last year, there were quite a few people (somewhat understandably) oblivious to how Rekieta could have won LotY. ...

This year, I have a hunch things are gonna be different. Though the BMJ people might still be salty.
Last year people thought it was a fix. This year, everyone recognizes the hard, honest, toiling, that Nick puts in with his shovel in attempting to find rock-bottom.

Yes, there is (understandably) loose language around this, so I pointed out the actual status showing in the database.

You can decide to think of it as you like, but that is not correct in this instance. From the MN Rules of the Supreme Court on Lawyer Registration:
F. “Non-Compliant Status” means a license status for a lawyer or judge who has not met all of the criteria to be on active status or inactive status. A lawyer or judge who is on noncompliant status is not in good standing and is not authorized to practice law in this state.

Key word: "lawyer." A person who misses their fees is a lawyer who is not in good standing/in non-compliant status. They may not practice law in MN, but they are still a lawyer.

Now, how long that lasts, I can not say. He might intend to get it back, or he might be giving up the ghost completely.

Agree!

To be fair, whether it's an indictment of us as people or how far this skelly has fallen, most of the frequent posters were fans of Nick Rekieta at some point.
This taught me an important lesson too. Once you feel betrayal as a fan, you flip sides to the extreme and become borderline a-loggy. This is also a coping mechanism to shield oneself from the embarrassment of being a fan. You feel the need to show everyone that you really dislike this guy and he's really nasty, an overcompensation. It can even cause you to push obviously fake garbage and believe in some ridiculous fan fiction. That's similar to a sycophant, where they believe everything the cow says; the ex-fan turned a-log believes every worst case scenario fan fiction that's posted.

Either way, not good.
Never become a fanboy of any online personality.
I'm not embarrassed that I was a fan of Nick and sent some superchats, during the Vic and Rittenhouse era. Those were fun times, and he was fun to watch. Most people who watched him feel betrayed and let down more than embarrassed. At least that's what I think.

Edit:Everyone becomes an "alog" when kids or animals get involved. Nick is no different.

It seems like a simple syllogism ought to apply here:
One needs an active law license to be a lawyer.
Nick does not have an active law license.
Therefore, Nick is not a lawyer.

Is this some US Marine type thing where once a lawyer always a lawyer?

I feel like what you quoted is an implied carve out for attorneys who may be able to practice in other states, but I'm not a lawyer, just a lingfag.

Grifty on the Joe/Good Lawgic show, note the messy kitchen.
But Nick Rekieta told me I don't have to clean my kitchen before streaming:

Gay.

This is probably the highlight of the video. Grubby shares his own story of being a drug-abusing parent. His life was hard and drugs helped him get through the day. One way to interpret what he is saying is that his wife at the time had their third child was a drug user. He clearly says they were taking drugs before and after the birth.
