Thanks, I hate it and/or love it. My day is immeasurably ruined and/or made exponentially better for it.

He just made it so you could post and display webp pics w/o converting them beforehand. (otherwise it'd show up as an attachment and it's obv gay)I hate webp because when I'm sourcing images from the web I want the raw file not a cached webp variant that Google or large CDNs serve. Most image and video containers have compatibility issues and I find it annoying when I have random jiff, png-large, webp, ai, etc. files that the majority of non-web applications struggle with. Maybe this will improve over time, though imo .webp feels like a stopgap until a consortium of CDNs can agree on a new standard format.
The good thing is that all the major browsers can auto-convert a webp to a png or jpg if you give it the desired file extension web downloading, unfortunately Microsoft has yet to bake this into Windows and there is no way to cast a webp file to a different container without manually converting it.
Josh, I'm curious if you're .webp cloning on your server and preserving the original uploaded files, or if they're being purged to save on storage costs.
Really? I never could, that's odd.You were always able to. Just not for your profile.
