All you're doing is making it so you'll have to expand your circuit production slightly later than usual.
There's no point in making large circuit production with assembling machines especially considering that I'll just go to Fulgora and get electromagnetic assemblers

You don't have to wait until fulgora, vulcanus can handle all your circuit production because sulfur and iron literally sprout from the ground fully formed.

I'm talking specifically about Fulgora's special assemblers which have built-in productivity. I'm going to Fulgora first anyways so I can get the mech suit.

After a while I'm finally figuring out how Fulgora's science works (electromagnetic science pack, "magenta science") and in addition to moving to a larger plateau where it's not so cramped and stuff can be fully expanded, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that once you land on a new planet you will be there for hours, disassemble your space platform and send everything down to the planet. You will have to build a new space platform starter pack but it will save you SO MUCH grief.

Skill issue tbqh. While I can understand the hype to reach other planets, your space platform should be capable of surviving in orbit indefinitely on its own. If your platform collapses in orbit there's a good chance it won't be able to make the trip back to nauvis anyway.

I HAVE LAUNCHED THE FIRST ROCKET

And have done so in under 15 hours

I found out it's cheaper and easier, instead of going to Vulcanus to get the materials for the science pack and unlocking cliff explosives; Research Atomic bombs, just watch out for the blast radius where you fire it.

Why would you want to make the game easier? Gigaretarded.
I want to build out my factories, not constantly run around wasting resources trying to tear up my stuff.

Arrive to Gleba like I did in my first save with a battered space platform and zero inventory besides a few stone furnaces and inserters and you'll see.

Lol maybe you should play better then? If you can't prepare a proper space platform then it's over for you. Git gud newb.

Atomic bombs require 100 u235 each lmao, it would take less time to go to vulcanus and start shipping back calcite than to collect enough uranium to effectively clear cliffs.

Most of the content in factorio is solving the logistics challenges. Removing them just makes the game worse because you're literally removing whole chunks of the game.

You don't need super advanced space tech to reach the planets, 4 furnaces, 1 tier 3 assembler and a couple gun turrets will literally take you anywhere from fulgora to vulcanus.

The space platform is effectively the 7th planet, removing 99% of the logistics challenges associated with it may as well be removing fulgora or vulcanus from the game.

Considering Koverex enrichment is also behind Space science, you can have a basic set up with modules to get you sorted before going to a planet. I'm just lazy tbh and when I played SE I knew being away from my supplies was going to be the biggest blocker going into SA. On top of that Vulcanus is great for getting carbon for thruster fuel but you can't put a rocket silo on the platform (Silo weighs 10 ton) so I sent my platform back to get the supplies, resources and improve upon my design. Also cliff explosives don't have a cool ring to their explosion. Yes I have killed myself by being too close to the nukes.

[...] "Safer Asteroids" mod.
You're somewhat gimping your idle resource collection by using this, each size-up brings 3x the resources once destroyed. With the slow speed of asteroids when standing still a single gun turret covering the middle south part of your platform is often enough.

I'm more of a More Space kind of guy, it makes designing proper space platforms more rewarding, the default distance between planets is jokingly short otherwise. (I'm only set to 2x distance at the moment, couple more planets to go)

PSA: Platform's width is the single most important factor regarding your maximum speed. And the game don't talk about it.

The Hyperborean Galactic Transport Ship has been finished

Vulcanus soon.

Be careful about drop pods before you build a landing pad, I had one of them crush me while I was fucking around looking at nauvus while unloading onto vulcanus. Also, nukes are fantastic for the worms.
Headshot them.

But I really do enjoy the new planets.

Bought the DLC the other day, getting my base ready to launch a rocket tomorrow and try it out. I'm excited
