That sounds like self-inflicted genocide to me.

Considering UK vs. USA as a trans woman - career, dating, and transitioning questions

Link - Archive

Actual troon or Pajeet trying to sneak in any of these countries? You be the judge.

MedTransitioner said:
I am a closeted trans woman from Pakistan, currently in medical school. I am preparing for USMLE step 1 and planning to move either to the UK or the USA after graduation. My goals are to transition fully, start my medical career and explore dating opportunities. Which country would be better for transitioning and dating as a trans woman? While I know the US has better career prospects for doctors, I am concerned about the current situation for trans people, especially with the lack of social safety nets. Any advice or experiences would be really helpful.

I'm going to avoid posting further election related Ls unless there's an actual (or seriously alleged) suicide.

Kiwi_cannon_'s (LOL) tranny neighbor allegedly tried—and failed because troons suck at everything—to 41% last night. So now the neighbors have to clean up his coom cave while he takes up space in grippy sock jail.

I can't get over how histrionic these people are. Settle the fuck down, you're fine. I mean, they're objectively not fine but you get what I mean.

Tax I guess:

This groomer in r/trans encourages lurkers to take this opportunity to crack those eggs! That'll show Trump!

A pooner appears to complain about "men" being left out of the post.

I love how they eat each other alive. So funking whiny. Why isn't this about me? waah waah

How many of these idiots who tried and failed at offing themselves are being REWARDED for their behaviour by coming home to homes cleaned by family, friends and neighbors ax well as precooked meals?

Zero incentive for any so inclined to grow the fuck up if they’re being this shamelessly coddled.

FFS… Canada won’t be taking in anybody as “refugees” from the States. Want to pull the hysterical “muh repression!!!”, bullshit? Save it for the internet.

Most Canadians may be polite to trannies. Don’t ever mistake that for welcome or genuine acceptance.

Then there’s the pesky little detail of the ongoing medical care this douche will need. It is very much a major consideration when anyone applies for status here and unless an applicant is a mere 2 steps ahead of a murderous horde, tends to lead to a denial.
Yesterday I saw someone describs themselves as a refuge from a war torn country. These middle class retards don't know true suffering

Trannies boyfriend voted for the orange demon. Troons enraged and demanding they break up.

Troon escape plan. They’re all going to leave red states and move to leftist ones. I’m sure this won’t harm left politically. I’m sure red states will be thrilled the child rapists and groomers are leaving for blue states.
Watch the blue states turn red as they get surrounded by troon insanity and peak

R/ftm is busy talking about their daddies and asking for packer suggestions. They're bpd or sexually abused autists that don't feel threatened because they're not the ones trying to get into mens sports and washrooms, so they don't give a fuck
FtMs always did piss me off with how transparently fake they are.

I do think overall MtFs are worst but FtMs are more annoying to me

The mods banned US elections talking, that's why you don't see any. They created a mega post for comments about the elections.

Anyone got any FtM post election cope ?
I got you, my nig.

states that will still have hrt and protections for queer people (17M)

Link - Archive

like the title says, im looking for states that have laws protecting the right to get hrt and to exist as a queer person. i know colorado is a safe one, but are there any others? in texas and..... yeah dont know how thats gonna go

We got a minor cameo (or rather a website he administers) by lolcow Erin Reed / Anthony Reed II / @ErinInTheMorn / @ErinInTheMorning

Most of the comments are suggesting different US states and cities mostly focused on Washington, New York City and New Jersey.

Regarding New Jersey, they are coping about some organization called Moms for Liberty having infiltrated at least half the schools in some areas, this group is against LGBT stuff in schools.

Another redditor suggest going to TERF island, it is quickly rejected. Canada doesn't seems like an option due to the Canadians being "surprisingly racist",. (the Pajeet menace)

What is your “fuck it I’m out” moment

Link - Archive

With how things are in the US right now, I’m not ready yet to up and leave. I have the means to do so, I have a country that I can flee to that I can easily get citizenship in, but I don’t think it’s time yet.

Personally, my line is when testosterone starts to become more limited in my state. The second that happens, I’m out.

A warning to the folks

The Republican Death Squads are on the prowl
Hey. Super active user and commenter here. In light of the recent American election I’d like to just extend a general warning to everyone.

If you are American and have photos of yourself attached to your main Reddit account along with anything that can be traced back to your irl identity on any trans subs, I highly recommend deleting them.

The Republican Party and media teams are for sure going to be sifting through trans spaces online. Don’t let yourself be part of this risk.

I am truly, deeply sorry for anyone who has experienced discrimination, medical negligence, and are worried about their access to gender affirming care. I am asking that you live, you survive, and you continue to be you.

This post doesn’t mean let them silence you. This is strictly about online safety. Please continue to be visibly queer if it is safe to do so, and live. Just live.

Detransitioning after US election

Another victim of the RDS
Is anyone else? I feel defeated. I have 2 kids and I'm not in a safe state. I don't want us to die. I don't want to be killed and have a bunch of slimy Republicans get my children. I haven't been in crisis this badly since before I transitioned. I've not been on the edge of fridging myself like this. I'm so scared, y'all.

This redditor is right. She needs to calm down and not make any sort of rash decision, especially since she has 2 kids.

I need help

Scratching her skin and soon might escalate to cutting due to Trump's victory.

I already felt at the start of the election that Trump was going to win. Though with time I allowed myself to believe in false hope that this country could change that Harris could win. I was an idiot. I'm shaking trying to hold back tears. The year has been awful for my mental health. I would have break down and panic attacks so often it interfered with my work and I had to quit.

I want to see a therapist but it's pointless now. I live in the south and everyone is transphobic or doesn't care.

I've already escalated to scratching my skin and I'll be fully cutting before the end of the year. I think I might just go through with slicing my wrists before 4 years are up. There won't be anything left to live for soon.

Womp womp. Trump fixing this issue without doing anything.
Skeptical of this report.
I want it to be true, but I'll wait for a more reliable source.
It's a real report, but unrelated to Trump (because there is no way to have gathered national suicide statistics that quickly). And the numbers are wrong.
September 26, 2024 – Researchers at The Trevor Project, the leading suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQ+ young people, published a study in the peer-reviewed journal, Nature Human Behaviour, that found anti-transgender state-level laws has a significant and causal impact on suicide risk among transgender and nonbinary young people across the United States.

From 2018 to 2022, 48 anti-transgender laws were enacted in the U.S. across 19 different state governments. The study examined the causal relationship between these laws and suicide risk over this five-year time period, using national survey data collected from more than 61,000 transgender and nonbinary youth. Results concluded that, during this time period, anti-transgender laws significantly increased incidents of past-year suicide attempts among transgender and nonbinary youth by as much as 72%.
The full Nature article is here. Notably it speculates that "reporting having attempted suicide at least once in the last year" increased 33%-49% for trans 13-17 year olds in states that introduced anti-transgender legislation. The number of suicide attempts increased by potentially up to 72% (i.e. "before they introduced the law I attempted suicide 4 times a year, but now it's 7 times a year"). But ultimately they couldn't prove it increased suicidality.
We investigated two possible pathways for the increase in past-year suicide attempts among TGNB young people: (1) enacting state-level anti-transgender laws also impacts self-reports of seriously considering suicide in the past year, or (2) enacting state-level anti-transgender laws leads more TGNB young people who were already seriously considering suicide due to other stressors to attempt suicide. We found more evidence that supported the latter. Although we did not find evidence to support that enacting state-level anti-transgender laws had an impact on TGNB young people seriously considering suicide in the past year, our findings do show evidence that it does increase TGNB young people reporting at least one past-year suicide attempt. This finding is consistent with the interpersonal theory of suicide, which suggests that acquiring the capability to overcome one’s natural fear of death combined with the desire for suicide leads to a serious suicide attempt, and such capability of suicide may be acquired through repeated exposure to painful and fear-inducing events. Empirical evidence in previous research suggests that perceived discrimination may be an example of a fear-inducing event from which individuals from certain minoritized groups may acquire suicide capability.

Although, as previously stated, this study does not differentiate the laws based on type or scope, the different laws may also lead to the increased suicide risk among TGNB young people through contributing to different types of minority stress. The laws restricting access to gender-affirming bathrooms and banning participation in sports may lead to more experiences of rejection, social isolation and bullying. The laws restricting access to gender-affirming healthcare and the ability to update identification documents may lead to less access to vital resources and create more opportunities for discrimination and harassment In short, enacted anti-transgender laws may be a source of increased minority stress that leads to increased suicide risk or other mental health issues. Furthermore, our finding that there was no statistically significant effect of state-level anti-transgender laws on TGNB youth suicide at the immediate time of their introduction builds on previous work that shows introducing or debating anti-transgender laws does not have an association with Internet searches related to suicide or depression. Future research should explore the potential relationships between introductions of state-level anti-transgender laws and other mental health outcomes related to minority stress, such as anxiety and self-harm, both to understand whether introductions affect these outcomes and to investigate the mechanisms that lead to minimal effects on TGNB youth suicide
Effectively they link it to minority stress. It is not the introduction of or discussion of such laws that appears to be a contributing factor, but instead it's how people then react to it and also "perceived discrimination" as a "fear inducing event" (i.e. all the scaremongering about "THIS IS A TRANS GENOCIDE")

Visualize my gender? What does that even mean?
Pure psychobabble, or am I missing something?
I'm assuming they mean " what is your inner you". I.e. the voice you hear internally, or what you percieve yourself as, and what defines it.
It's terribly worded and not fit for an end conversation. It should be asked at the beginning or mid way, explain it a little bit, and ask them to sleep on it. I know this trick, it's a very subtle, careful way to ask if they actually think they're trans or not.

A better way to ask it would be something like "how do you see and hear yourself in absent thought/daydreaming/unconsciously when doing tasks?" *whatever answer* "alright, and what makes it that gender? Is it the voice, how you think the thought process is, what it gravitates to?" Last part is to parse if their idea is purely based of physical items, like men focusing on dresses and make up to make a woman, a pooner might see plaid shirts, jeans, and something vaguely masculine like videogames, swords or dinosaurs to make them a man.
It's a question that a lot of therapists are legitamately not good enough to ask, because you have to understand what you're asking and be able to explain it to a 5 year old.
It gives off the impression, from a very fucking tiny sample mind you, that the therapist is trying to get the pooner to look to them for guidence instead of actually helping. It's unfortunately very common rn.
Edit: I did not realize how late this was, I apologize.
