I've said it before - I like The Handmaid's Tale as a piece of dystopian fiction. It's well written, intriguing and while not up there with the two benchmarks of the genre in Nineteen Eighty-Four and Brave New World, it's a very worthy novel and one I would still suggest that people read. The TV show is absolute goyslop and I wish it had never been produced.
I need to read those 3 books. Maybe I should replace some gaming time with dystopian fiction time

FTFY. GOP needs to focus on states rights if it wants to keep its gains in the electorate, in general. The party of small government needs to stop advocating for big government.
Correct.

The biggest reason why I support Roe v Wade going away is because, if you read that decision, they REALLY had to reach to come to the conclusion that abortion is a constitutionally protected right. It's simply not. It's a decision reserved to the states, per the Tenth Amendment.

Kari Lake is a grifter.
She's worse than that. She's utterly unelectable. She needs to pack it in and fuck off. AZ GOP needs to force the issue, if necessary. Just like the DNC will now probably banish Harris and Sleepy Joe to the Phantom Zone (and rightfully so).

If she had emphasized border security and the economy, and STFU about abortion, she might have been able to ride the red wave this time. She completely misread the situation and thought that an abortion ban is what people wanted the most. They don't. People want to be able to feed their family, not be stabbed or raped by an illegal alien, or have their daughter forced to share a bathroom with somebody who has a dick.

No she did fucking not. You're from Arizona and you've forgotten how the left took out the voting machines on election day, practically guaranteeing Hobbs the win? Hobbs ran her own fucking election, and she's corrupt as shit
Look, Hobbs is dogshit and I can't wait for her to leave office, but I just don't see the evidence she stole the Governor's office. Lake blew it. Badly. She's a Loser. Capital L.

Besides, she just lost again, while Trump... despite all odds... won bigly. I certainly don't think there was a steal this time.

Lake sucks. I'm sorry. She needs to fuck off.

The fact that the trump team was, with absolutely no fanfare, preparing a third of a million people to fight against rigging just beneath everyone’s notice for the last four years is W I L D.

The fact that not even the farms, or our resident Grampollster @Gehenna knew that was coming is just insane. Trump hid any grand evidence of a political secret weapon for this entire election period.
…oh my god. My conspiratard brain is now firing. Was that what Qanon was about? Was Qanon just a big ass Trojan horse to get the democrats to think the only grassroots republicans had were delusional hopers and copers?

Man is Stephen Colbert raging internally.

I used to watch Colbert pre Trump but then he just talked so much about Trump. Like enough already. The show became too political for my liking so I stopped watching.

The janitor metaphor is not true because comics need material to make jokes. A janitor doesn't need material to clean. They clean regardless of how much there is. They can still do their job with little dirt

The reason given was for readability for the election was it not?
They locked the first one to channel posts here, where lurkers without an account can read posts.
The election is over.
The Electoral College doesn't meet until December, and the vote isn't even finished counting yet.
lack of transparency
They said post here, they haven't said anything different. Just relax.

JD said they're planning on deporting at least 1 million per year and that really it will be a lot more than that because he expects a lot of self-deportations since they'll have their gibs taken away and companies hiring illegals will be cracked down on.
between that and the voter ID stuff the democrats are the modern day whigs, reminds me of how all of mexico's parties had to combine to even have a shot of winning this year's election and still got creamed by a party that didn't even technically exist until 2012.
so there are Japs running around who speak perfect Mexican Spanish.
shouldn't be surprising its easier to learn spanish from a jap base and vice versa,
Mexico's GDP growth has been the same or higher than the USA's for a while now
the problem is its not equally distributed, taking out Mexico city/state, the richest parts of mexico border the US and it gets poorer from there. Outside of cartel violence being normalized theres very little difference between the border state mexicans and say your average person in South Florida, in terms of income and purchasing power the north mexicans even have them beat. all those factory jobs and shit are there, meanwhile its only a matter of time before the government fucks them because their voting base is located all in the south.
They do feel current issue, but its "cant take that trip" not "cant afford food". But single white female college grad in the city isnt in the same economy and feeling the same pressures.
Tiktok did a great job advertising that, every cunt getting 6 figure jobs and working 10 hours a week sending emails.
No one take marching students seriously at first, three month later, national leader Liu Shaoqi was lynched.
and in the US, those same hippies protesting nam in college started sending bombs, then once they got a slap on the wrist they started indoctrinating other kids, such as former president Barack Obama.
Democrats in general are way more likely to just give into despair at bad news than get aggressive over it. I don't think think a Jan 6 event is replicable on the Dem side
Do you forget the summer of 2020?

My takeaway from the election is that Democrats have got to realize that troons are poison. Platforming ugly, delusional people is not going to give a campaign a good look, and it just gives the other side an easy, correct target.

I hate how liberal values have shifted from workers' protections and environmental concerns to basically platforming doom about the future, being hedonistic pigs, and consooming porn and plastic for "self care".

Yeah... The media reaction is also weird. I'm concerned they have something in the bag still. No way they roll over this easily
But, what can they do? They don't like guns, they have anti depressents and intrusive thoughts. Who's going to be upset being misgendered that voted for trump.

During the latter half of Trump's first presidency and throughout Biden/Kamala, I slowly realized how brother wars happen
Of course American Democrats would say this about the other side. But they were the ones pushing censorship, making our people sick and stupid, and totally favoring illegals over not only native citizens and veterans but those who worked hard to obtain legal citizenship. Leftists were the ones who tried to gaslight with 'all Americans are immigrants actually' and ramming through amnesty and 'legalization'. They were the ones who championed the absolute worst representatives of minority groups to try and divide Americans even further. And the whole Covid thing, encouraging and rewarding snitching on friends, family and small businesses.
So I understood, finally, how things like the Great Leap Forward happened with such great support.
All I'm saying is that one side thinks that lifting, combat sports, and firearms are so fascist they've never touched iron in their life and believe that being a four hundred pound blob is empowering.
I think I'll be ok.

I'm probably late but this is still fucking hilarious.

Personally, I also think the loss of the popular vote really threw a wrench in their plans. They were all prepped and ready for the fact that, even if Trump won, it wouldn’t be by the pop vote as well so they’d have their usual vector of attack. Only THAT didn’t happen, and now they’re left scrambling for ANYTHING else to try and stop this with.

It's a decision reserved to the states, per the Tenth Amendment.
It's reserved to the states inasmuch as it's not explicitly outlined in the Constitution, the Constitution being a document written in the freaking 18th/19th century
Sleepy Joe
Will be dead within a year
but I just don't see the evidence she stole the Governor's office.
Other than the evidence I just gave you? MaRICOpa County ran a corrupt as shit election, same as '20

They had a whole court case about it. Rich Baris gave testimony. The whole thing was so corrupt that Maricopa officials were paranoid people might demand new elections. They might've had new elections if the judge deciding Kari Lake's case wasn't a spineless coward
Besides, she just lost again, while Trump... despite all odds... won bigly. I certainly don't think there was a steal this time.
A lot of that was Latinos splitting the ticket. They voted for Trump but then they voted for the Latino for Senator.

Also, Cocaine Mitch didn't give Lake (or Cruz) a penny for their election campaigns, whereas he sunk a ton of money into Maryland just for loser Larry Hogan to get blown out massively. If Lake'd had that money, she might've won the race comfortably.
Do you think it's mathematically possible for California to somehow magically give the popular vote to Kween Kamala?
Well, the bookmaker I used to bet on Trump winning the popular just paid out, so I'd have to say 'no'

There's a huge problem in your country if a foreigner can't distinguish manufactured faggotry over actual histrionics of the average Briton.
So yes, you thought it was real.

That you think any country would let a reporter go on and swear up a storm like that in what is blatantly a parody is a larger issue.
