So was there any reason given for why USPG got the axe, or was it a case of people in the TES thread throwing a shitfit?

Lame duck presidency incoming.
Yeah, no shit. There's a 22nd Amendment. I think everybody here knows and accepts that.

That is a silly thing to say.

In Nancy’s defence, she wasn’t wrong.
She was absolutely wrong.

I can't put my hand on my heart and say Trump was definitely gonna beat Biden (though I think he would have), but I knew as soon as they swapped him out for Harris, it was so jover.

Dumb fucking move. Trump recognized it too. If Pelosi were a Japanese politician, she would be expected to kill herself.

Voter ID would definitely help. I'd have to see how they implemented it, though. In 2020 PA and AZ they just kept re-scanning ballots that had illegitimate addresses and birthdates of 1-1-1900. Voter ID would prevent illegals from voting for the most part (or at least require them to be able to get fake IDs) but I don't think it would stop the election workers from just making fake ballots and dumping them.

Voter ID makes ballot stuffing hard because you need a record of having checked the ID. Where I live, the scan a bar code on your ID to register that you voted. You can't just trivially load another 5,000 votes into the box, because then you'd have 5000 more votes than IDs you scanned.

The dems will clean house of all the lunatics and grifting shits, then hopefully the right will too.

Then maybe both parties can start working together again
Why people keep saying this?
The historical precedent is that the worst a party does, the more radical it becomes, because it keeps shedding off the moderates out of it like a starving dog sheds fur.

It's when a radical party grows that it starts becoming big-tent and losing its extreme base until it forces them to leave and set up new parties that are "the actually heirs", or the "pure" party while the original party has "sold out".

For anyone wondering what happened to the US Politics General thread.

bro i know this is a joke but fuck off, the issue with XenForo is that any time you touch anything it:

1. Invalidates the current cache.
2. Rebuilds the cache on every request.
3. Continues to do so while cache is being rebuilt.
4. Attempts to insert the exact same fucking item into the DB literally 4000 times.
5. This causes a complete and total database lockup.

It would be completely negated if the Angloid freak retards who programmed this shit had learned of something called HOT AND COLD RECORDS that have been around for a fucking decade at least. You serve the OBSOLETE RECORD until the NEW RECORD IS READY. In their world, they instead just try to build the new record thousands of times on every request.

It's software designed by people who don't run a forum so they have no idea what happens at scale.
Xon uses Spacebattles as his testbed if you want to go yell at him about it.

Off topic but how does the highlight system on this forum work even? Some posts I see have three likes and are instantly awarded a highlight. It’s odd.
I believe it's a function of how many posts it's been since the last highlight, how fast something receives reactions / replies, and is compared to the posts prior. It also changes so sometimes a post will be highlighted and then it'll be taken away when it doesn't actually keep getting engagement despite its highlight status compared to other nearby posts.

Don't think to hard on it, it works pretty damn well, but better for people looking at the thread later as opposed to as its getting updated.

While you were all busy celebrating Trump's victory, Dems are stealing the House as we speak.

Your Twitter post has nothing to do with your claim but I'll entertain the thought. According to the NYT, outside of "Win Easily" there are 25 seats at play.

Democrats need 16, Republicans need 8. Of these, 13 have the lead in Republican. To win the House, Republicans have to hold onto at least eight of these, while Democrats would have to hold onto their leads, and flip six. Of the races where Republicans are ahead, only three are within a percentage point. There's a seat in Iowa that's got a razor-edge +0.19 where the Democrats could flip it, but it's at >95% votes in. There's an even closer race in Maryland where Democrats are leading by just 350 votes.

He’s not anti abortion… but he exclusively appointed anti abortion justices to the Supreme Court.

Actions speak louder than words.

Fun fact: many years ago, Trump said he supported universal healthcare.
Judges only affected roe v wade, which was the correct call. It also literally means it’s up to the states now making the presidents opinion irrelevant.

Project 2025 was a massive nothingburger created by some people that had some connection to trump. They are basically a think tank that goes " hey, wouldn't this be cool" to the president every 4 years. Dems flipped the fuck out despite a good portion of the proposal being shit they already do anyways. Trump ended up disavowing it, multiple times. This is combined with half truths and fanfiction about what it actually was. Maybe Trump was planning to use some proposals, maybe not. And largely, that doesn't matter.

The heart of it is that they try to tell you that trump is secretly has some shadowy plan that he's hiding, as told to you by a group that does nothing but hide and gaslight at every turn. It's very telling that when my teacher talked about trump's policy, she didn't even know that he had an official website by him with his own policies on it. All she was told was Project 2025. And she still took issue with the official policy list, so I don't get how Trump would have some secret hidden agenda when people already complain about his official one.
My aunt also did this. She refused to even look at Agenda 47 because it was associated with Donald Trump, and then went on to complain more about Project 2025. They short circuit the moment they have to contradict their programming. I wouldn’t dare to bring up the left’s version of Project 2025 which is Center for American Progress’s agenda.
Suspiciously they tend to stay out of the media, even though they’re the driving force of the democrat policy. They dress up socialism as the future of Our Democracy.

So was there any reason given for why USPG got the axe, or was it a case of people in the TES thread throwing a shitfit?
Dunno, but my guess is that the election is the only thing relevant atm and maybe later they will merge the threads after sometime? or they just dont want two different threads essentially talking about the same thing. who knows, ask the jannies or null if youre really curious.
