Haven't tried Atomwaffen, but it was a bit challenging I will admit. When fighting biden you have to get as much good infantry out soon as possible otherwise you'll get steam rolled. Then I had to deal with getting jumped by the National Front alliance. Thankfully the socialists were hadn't crossed the Rockies by the time I finished so fighting them was less dangerous.
They definitely have plans for real post war trees, NSM's were broken and unfinished on release but they exist. I just hope they get a better post unification flag, the one they get is awful.
The big issue with NSM is that after Michigan you need to immediately prepare to fight Biden or Trump with no real way to build good divisions. Patriot Front and Atomwaffen get New England and the South as well as all of their industry so they can properly build up, NSM desperately needs to get major buffs to armor and weapons production which isn't that far fetched since you quite literally take over Detroit.
