Whatever the "unknown event" was that triggered the self-immolation last night, it would have to have been more recent and unique.

My pure speculation is that he was set off primarily by the revelation from piggertits yesterday that the charges leading to his arrest warrant were preceded by at least one search warrant (if not more) getting god-mode access to at least some social media activity in Nick's inner circle:

At a minimum, Nick would have been incensed to see this proof positive that Stearns County is no longer the useful-idiot ally in a revenge fantasy against Aaron that he originally thought they were, and instead it turns out he went to all the trouble of declaring himself legally a cuck to them only for one courtesy call from Kandiyohi County to turn them into a whole other arm of the state that's making him a target, all of which he self-destructively set into motion in the first place.

Seething and smacking himself in the face at first learning of that umpteenth self-raking is just at a minimum, and beyond that there's also a perhaps overly optimistic theory that he knows full well how he orchestrated his surrogates' PR campaign and witness harassment campaign with such basic-bitch opsec that search warrant(s) to neutral intermediaries like the above may well scoop up some of his most reckless DM's that could lead to new charges. That'd be just the sort of thing to give him enough of a case of the "fuck its" to crack open a bottle and spill his guts on that stream for what little revenge against Aaron he can get while he's still "free" to do so. It´s totally irrelevant because the safe that was in my bedroom at plain sight wasn´t mine and I never looked into it theory is even stupider than the coke wasn´t mine. I dont know why people would even speculate on ways to prove the safe was his.
