I've said it before, but it never ceases to amaze me how long and far the tainted remnants of Gawker/GO continue to plague all facets of modern culture. Just when you think it's stamped out and eradicated for good, another festering boil pops back up. Just like Ebola. The biggest blight in humanity in the past century has been the double-headed cultural infestation from Tumblr rejects and Gawker offshoots.

I agree. If she was a full time staffer, they’d make some kind of announcement. Maybe Rolling Stone is just slow in issuing them, which in that case they wouldn’t appreciate her saying anything ahead of time.

Of course the timing is great because it was almost 10 years ago (November 19, 2014) when they published that article about rape at the University of Virginia that resulted in the (((author))) and Rolling Stone having to pay millions in lawsuit settlements.

I think it is a great thing. Rolling Stone can be responsible and take another lawsuit when she almost certainly chimps the fuck out and libels someone. They have a bigger pot to take than Kotaku. Nearly all of the rot can be traced back to SomethingAwful. SA had a huge influence and overlap with Tumblr and other similar parts of the internet.
