I love Joe's "key examples" of issues that the American people should be able to vote on directly:
- Israel/Palestine
- Prison abolition
- Abolishing the US-Mexico border (Ed. note: what?)
- Abortion
- Nationalized healthcare
- Climate change
- "Deregulation and demedicalization of hormone replacement therapies"
A nationwide ballot referendum on fucking titty skittles. So important. The entire American population of 335 million is surely clamoring to weigh in on this crucial issue.
While we're at it, I am hereby calling for an immediate special election on the pressing matter of whether my neighbor should park his truck a little farther away from the edge of the driveway, because while it doesn't exactly block my car, it makes it harder for me to back out sometimes. To prevent the country from voting on this issue would be fascism! Referendum now!
