Lord Frogmire Appreciation Thread - The Better Brother (Formerly Known as Synthetic Man Appreciation Thread) - Might have an account here

It's easy for peolpe to retroactively go back and say this was always woke and this wasn't woke. The same thing with people who go "gaming was always political insert games like Metal Gear here" Like how most people think I believe the term has been overused, watered down, and bastardized by both of the radical sides in their holy war against each other. That doesn't discount the fact that some games need to be called out and it isn't like either side can't be right. One of my favorite franchises is Bioshock and Infinite has a heavy emphasis on fundamentalist zealotry, racism, extreme nationalism, etc.
this, there wasn't a magical time where every game that came out was good and based, im right-wing as fuck and I find a lot of the culture war shit in Gaming post-COVID to be simply annoying, as long as were in a free market-society the only thing that can really be done is to not buy games you dislike. literally that simple.

In fact I feel most people enjoy pointing things out but the fault comes from the internet "black and white" logic with most infuriating people. Since they see negativity as hate and positivity as praise even if the context of why those things are being shown can be different. Nowadays we are well over a decade (if you wanna count GamerGate as the first time in the mainstream eyes) into politics being pushed so heavily in entertainment that people are just disillusioned. Folks are tired of woke this, woke that, anti this, anti that even if we are all noticers it's just tiring to see a discourse for everything you just want to see people excited for and let it exist as just a cool product.

For me i can handle wokeness it's just that i don't wanna be screamed at when i ask why something is there or needs to be there or when i say something isn't "woke" by mere existence. It isn't like most of us don't know what is and what isn't labeled just that each side of this culture war or whatever is so hellbent at this point you can't reason with most of them over how loudly they screech at each other.
Unlike a regular war, the culture war has no set area of engagement, all soldiers are conscripts, and neither side distinguishes between civilian and combatant
This will expand and grow more intense as it continues until one side is completely destroyed and reconstructed even as far as us just shooting each other

While i agree with your opinion in principle, we don't really live in a completely "free market society", games like Dustborn are being funded by taxmoney, Corpo's get funding from the likes of Blackrock and Vanguard, who've got their tendrils in Government as well.

thats definitely the part I find inexcusable, companies shouldnt just be able to grant money to other companies no strings attached, hopefully we eventually get laws restricting blatant money laundering like this

It was after his Baldur's Gate 3 Video. Synth is a big D&D nerd, I even remember him soying out and show his 5th Edition D&D Lore book. Even though it's quite woke with all the black elves and dwarf women, he still brought it lamo. I don't really get it to be honest, but I think I can understand it better after playing Baldur's Gate 1 and 2.
Anyone who enjoys DND 5 E is cattle and deserves to die in a fire

1080p archive up:

Spectrobes | Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters [including Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's World Championship 2011: Over the Nexus]

Also started a Playlist for the livestreams, although for now, it's everything starting with the Dragon Age Failguard watch-along. If there're other VOD archivists on that site doing 1080p stuff, I'll be sure to add those in too. Odysee doesn't allow adding Unlisted vids into playlists, so once the troon heat is off of our glorious chud, I'll be adding in the other streams I've got up.

Archive: (if you are seeing the this video is restricted/private screen that means rumble still hasn't finished processing. The video becomes available when rumble finishes processing the video.)

3:49 Says he likes the e-celeb discussion and sometimes goes to kiwifarms.

I remember him a few months ago going on a rant about the farms and making fun of people who discuss lolcows. He has a tendency to flip flop on opinions and often times comes across as a hypocrite which is very lolcow like. He also spergs out at his chat over a lot of minor and insignificant things. Like for instance someone giving him the wrong instructions in a video game or chat arguing with him about some settings in an application. All things considered, I believe he has too much self awareness to truly become a lolcow. He just has a little autism.

Also yes, although 4chan is literally dying now. We all know it died a long time ago.

You can enjoy lolcows while not liking the people who orbit their discussion. If I remember what he said correctly, synth didn't like the holier than thou crowd, since some people (even acknowledged by null himself) are not a whole lot better. Synth was also watching rekieta on stream back in February, so lolcows have been something he has touched on way before.
