He's certainly got a fucking darkness around him, and his luck recently is remarkably similar to the way I've heard shit has gone down hill for a few people who got into that shit without having a clue what they were doing and lost their shit over it.

I've been thinking over the possibility that Nick may potentially be dabbling in the dark arts, and in particular what it could mean for him going forward, and it has reminded me of some advice my dissertation mentor gave me while I was at university. Whenever you're doing international business or diplomatic work with someone who holds strong religious views, or who has beliefs that we secular Westerners may find superstitious or backwards, always take into account that they may act in accordance with their own values and perceptions of reality rather than your own.

Now why I think this is relevant to Nick is because even if you look at all the shit about demons, sacrifice and blood magic and discount it as a load of superstitious schizo nonsense, you still have to consider that Nick himself either believes in it wholeheartedly or at the very least sees something in it that he finds appealing and compatible with his "values".

What concerns me with all this is that his beliefs ultimately inform his actions, and as he's long since gone past the point of believing himself to be bound by law and custom, should he also genuinely believes that he can acquire powers and protection from blood then this has the potential to get a lot darker than it already has. This is further compounded by the fact that I strongly suspect him to currently be in a meth induced psychosis, as I've seen it happen to others first hand, which if also the case could make this whole situation a ticking time bomb.

Some interesting tidbits about how this comment fits into Rekieta's timeline:


1. This comment was made on the day this thread hit page 6666.

2. A day before this comment (Oct 20, 2024), Rekieta announced his return on Locals, saying he'd be coming back, coming hard and coming often with the cast "just fucking me."

3. Five days after this comment (Oct 26, 2024), Rekieta started blocking his A-Logs on Twitter, calling them NERDs. April began posting frequently on Twitter again, declaring her eternal love for Rekieta, kicking off the eternal meltdown we're witnessing to this day.

What does this mean? Probably nothing. Maybe blood magick is indeed at play? I've never been good at theorizing in this thread.

I don't know what's going on either but it seems important. No other grandparent has spoken out publicly and he did so buried under a FB post from years ago.

I did what you did - go back to figure out what was happening around that period - but I did it on the case thread. I assume Dan Sletta, as Kayla's stepdad and (likely) custodian of her kids, is most concerned with that issue.

I don't know what to make of this either: "Molestation" was edited out. (Who knew edited comments on Facebook could be so easily discovered?) I was on her FB page to see if she'd ever mentioned the name of the family chiropractor who kicked Nick out. Fwiw, I think it's Duininck Chiropractic bc there's a link between Chris Woltjer and the Duininck family, but I can't prove it.
