I'd honestly be genuinely pleased with her if she actually acknowledged SOCCON and how it influenced Rev60. Seriously. It's her Sonichu and while there is a genuinely cringe element to it (as SOCCON itself reveals that Brianna being wildly out of touch is something she's effectively always been), it's also something that she was clearly genuinely passionate about and that's not something she should take shame in.

I'm actually probably one of the few people to have never given her shit over her character designs, and there's a reason for it: Does any game look like Rev60? No. In its own weird, stupid way, it's iconic, and the fact that she stuck to her guns on that, even though it really would have been easy to Tumblrize her characters, is something I have genuine respect for.

Not enough to make me ignore the stolen assets from Second Life, the music used without credit from Royalty Free sites, or the fact that the game nearly didn't happen on Steam because she was too busy twitter sperging, but a bit of respect nonetheless.

I just want to circle back to this group of lies, specifically lie group number two. I know John is trying to make himself sound like a martyr for being such a hard worker that he didn't even let Covid stop him. Truly, a brave and stunning hero. Except this is one of those cases where the more specific the lie is, the more telling it becomes.

Let's pretend for a second that it's true and Wu wasn't at home angry tweeting for 23 days. 31 events sounds pretty impressive, you must come into contact with a lot of people during that time. Well thank god he's at least working very closely with specialists and things have gotten much better. I'm sure not a single one of those specialists was concerned about John doing a jam packed 31 events in 23 days while also recording a lengthy podcast, while also having Covid, an illness where the most common symptom is coughing, which is famously good for your voice. So good, in fact, that it's making John's voice better. Now maybe John is just so dedicated to his work that he's willing to sacrifice his health for the sake of election.
