My step child is Trans, has been for over a year now and they're only 11. I've had numerous conversations with my parents about them just generalized lgbtq+ related stuff. So I know where they stand on things. I know they are more or less supportive of everyone's rights. But they just don't understand a lot of it. I've probably heard them say "I don't understand" a thousand times now.
Well, now I'm coming out as trans. But I'm going further than my 11 year old. I'll be fully transitioning, looking like a woman, sounding like a woman, etc.
I've slowly been telling coworkers and people around me about the new me. So far everyone has been supportive. But here within the next hour, I get to have the talk with my parents about myself rather than my kid.
I'm very nervous. Very stressed. Idk how it's gonna go. Just watching the time tic by slowly until they are outta work. And then hear from them at some point after that. Just ready to peel it off like a band-aid at this point and get it over with so I can go back to living my life.
I am newly Trans, only recently telling the people closest to me about it and that I want to start changing who I am on the outside to match who i am on the inside.
The people I've told so far have been completely supportive and down with whatever I choose to do. With that in mind, I've been doing shopping, picking out clothes, etc.
Something I discovered which I think I'll try 1st is fake breasts that go over my chest. I think starting with this is my smartest option as I can see how I'd look with them, and experiment with sizes to determine what would look good with my body.
However, I also know HRT is a thing. And someday I might want to try it. But I have some fears and want to educate myself that isn't just charts from medical websites. I wanna hear from the people about it.
1st) I am MtF, I have male organs, and I'm not really wanting to get rid of them. In fact, my wonderful and supportive partner has even said she still wants to have a kid with me some day, even if I transition. So with that in mind, I'd like to keep those organs running properly.
Which leads me to 2) if I start taking HRT, I start growing breasts and get my voice changed and all the good stuff, am I able to keep my male organs working? Or will they slowly start to not work all together?
3rd) on HRT, don't you stay on HRT until you've hit the size you'd like to be? Or is there like a limit and eventually you'll just keep taking HRT without any visible growth?

My workplace allows use of previously single-sex facilities (such as the toilets) to now be mixed sex. If I had the misjudgment to complain about that, I'd be seen as the problem and fired.
My workplace encourages all people to put pronouns in signatures, and has 'gender training'. If I contested anything in that 'gender training', I'd be seen as the problem and fired.
