I do not think it matters at this point what Melton tells anyone about what is real and what isn't real.

He claimed to have gained illegally obtained material about Aaron and went through it, read it and watched it.
The implied threat towards Aaron was made, it really does no longer matter how much of what he claims is true.
The threat was made, Aaron was directly targeted by Melton. He will get his ass slapped for this and end up with multiple restraining orders against himself.

Even if he made it all up, it was believable enough that it could be taken seriously, no claim of "but your honor, I was just joking" will save this fat pedophile from the consequences he now has coming. They might be a lot less severe if he did actually make it all up, but they will still be serious.

If you'd read the last several pages you would know that it doesn't matter if he was "joking". What he's said provides enough grounds to get a warrant and subpoenas related to his electronic communications and because the "My Activity" screenshot has been confirmed as real by Aaron, police are unlikely to drop investigations just because Melton claims it was all a troll.

If it was all a very ill-advised joke and there are no files, Melton will still have to deal with being investigated until that is established. Additionally, there is still the issue of using the pretence of having possession of Aaron's private files to harass him.
