I could never be in politics. I could not control my urge to tell someone who called me Hitler and my supporters garbage to go kill themselves to their face.
Ahh...it's very similar to business. There are situations where during negotiations CEOs are almost strangling each other. Then when it's all done they go out for a $1,000 steak dinner together. It's like the Godfather - "Tell Mikey it was always business, never personal". Trump excels at politics BECAUSE he excels at business. That's the difference between him and all the other politicians. This is nothing but another business deal to him.

Now, Melania ISN'T a business person. That's why she takes the shit personal and snubbed Jill Biden over mar-a-lago.

The face of a man who's loving the outcome of the election.

I thought the same. What Garrison depicted is completely different from what happened. Simple as.
With Garrison, I consider it an OK comic if we get one that doesn't have 400 fucking labels on everything telling us what every freaking thing is supposed to mean. Garrison really is the bottom tier of political cartoonists. He always assumes he's the big brain and the rest of us won't get his comic without fucking tooltips.

I remember in 2000's a dude that worked the Turkish Bathhouses in European side, near the older Ottoman districts. These bathhouses are obviously visited by all the white euro gay crowd, with obvious side services. Dude always used a condom, fucking tourists (many are middle-aged whitefags) and earning a little. He left the job when he was insisted on not using a condom "his flesh must touch my flesh" and started a ruckus. He had told his story to a Turkish comic artist named Bahadır Boysal.

Put a fucking rubber on it, faggots, flesh is still felt! I am starting to think there is a self destructive instinct to destroy oneself.
Very succinctly captured in the phrase, "Pozload my neghole".

Threads is great, it's like The Day After, but without all that upbeat happy stuff!
Lol I'm old enough to have seen "The Day After" on TV. It made me nervous but didn't outright scare me. I did see "Threads" for the first time somewhat recently and did really dig the dark vibe. The cops shooting looters who murdered a family for their food. The politicians dying from no oxygen, buried alive in their bunker.

For us 80s kids, I would say that the American parallel to "Threads" wouldn't be "The Day After" but rather "Testament". That scene when the mother is trying to save her child as he's bleeding out internally from radiation sickness and it's pouring out of his ass unsettled the shit out of me. As a consolation prize, I'd throw "Miracle Mile" out there just for how crazy that movie spiraled out of control by the end.

Fuck, the one name I hoped to never see again was Jared Kushner.

It's a go on Gaetz. Trump will pull out the Nuclear Recess Appointment option if he's blocked from moving out of his Hill office into the DOJ headquarters across the street.

There is no way Team Trump can talk like this unless they have every intention of forcing a Congressional recess.

Seriously there have been nonstop shots across the bow since Trump won that this isn't gonna be the Trump from 2016. He realizes this is his last charge and he's gonna make it count. Personally I've been erect ever since his lawyer called Latitia James a fatass.

ason why I don't want this to happen is because once it does, the genie doesn't go back into the bottle again the next time dems get power.
Yeah but it's also time for the Repubs to learn that you don't win by always playing defense.

"It’s certainly not a mandate. It’s certainly not a mandate to end the “rule of law” (i.e., the unconstitutional capture of the executive branch by the legislative branch). So how can a Trump administration be anything but the usual bipartisan centaur?"

I'm laughing at Curtis Yarvin's typical wet blanket smarmy bullshit this time around. If Trump forces a recess, I expect Yarvin to publicly retract his statements (not likely).

Trump is going blitzkrieg on DC. He learned his lesson from last time

Get inside your enemy's OODA loop and never stop hitting them once you're in

It's Joever, the GOP already has the House. The only question is will they get to 222 or not

Apparently Miller-Meeks did just get confirmed with a mathematical win, no other information yet

I really wish he put her as Secretary of State. The whole reason she got popular was sensible takes on foreign policy and foreign wars. (Plus using that knowledge to BTFO a certain DEI nominee in a 2020 debate.)
Secretary of State would have been ideal, but she's also been hounded by glowies recently so that might motivate her to deal with them.

I wonder if Tucker will be Press Secretary.

Thune working together with Democrats to stop recess appointments will not be a good look for him, if he goes down that path.
If he does something like that I think there would be enough MAGAt Senators that would refuse to caucus with the GOP that he'd lose majority leader to Schumer. Then they'd come back after the RINOs bent the knee to them enough. So, in like 2 days tops

Tariffs have never been primarily about revenues in the developed world for decades, even during Trump's first term they were targeted towards shifting terms of trade and negotiation in trade settlements.
I agree typically, but that is not what Trump is proposing. He claims they will pay for tax cuts, but any deal that lowers them will lower revenue and increase the deficit.

This is an extremely basic and flawed conception of how trade actually works. It isn't simply there are existing prices and trade regulation only changes these existing prices, they exist in an greater environment. When free trade is in effect, the industries where a country has greater factor production benefits at the expense of those where the country is less competitive (Stolper–Samuelson). In addition, the decrease in a country's factor endowment magnifies it in decreasing output (Rybczynski). Or, in other words, the screw industry is noncompetitive in the first place because trade liberalization benefited certain industries while stymieing others in the United States (service vs manufacture). As manufacturing declined, it is further exacerbated by the decreasing factor endowment making it more and more noncompetitive.

However, isolating the US market will not fix the issue that makes manufacturing uncompetitive in a fully developed market. The non-competitive parts have not changed. And Is it something you want to change?
We could depress wages, but that is not a good option; while I support helping manufacturing, automation, and development is the main thing that will bring it back.

I think Hunter is a complete scumbag who PROBABLY banged his underage niece.

That being said, Trump pardoning him would not only be a "fuck you" to the establishment uniparty that pretends to be partisan. Trump making a political alliance with the Bidens could be advantageous for his 2nd term. Letting that walking shart go free is a sacrifice I'd make if it leads to bigger fish being fried. (Christopher Steele, Alvin Bragg, Fanny Willis, Mark Miley and other traitors).

Plus the memes would be hilarious.
Yes, Trump making an alliance with the Bidens who have the political power and influence to print out over a hundred million ballots if they so chose is a good idea.
