The sequels were already that though?
No he still did, it just didn't result in her. He still piped down Sly Moore in canon.but at least Palpatine didn't have sex (I hope?)
She's not an audience insert, she's an Executive Producer insert. Namely, Kathleen Kennedy's self-insert. Padme was a character girls in the audience could self-insert as, Rey is just the young, athletic, horse-faced British girl Kathleen Kennedy wishes she was.Rey is an audience insert. How are you going to have an audience insert carry a trilogy after you killed off all the nostalgia you used to bait your self-inserting audience?
I cannot believe that KK is evil enough and incompetent enough to just not pack her bags with her ill gotten untold millions. Ego and vindictiveness are fascinating things.
In her position, I'd have retired years ago and lived it up on some beach. No, her only desire is to debase George's creation to the point where it will never recover.
Thanks, I had blocked that out of my memory, I don't think I'll sleep tonight. No he still did, it just didn't result in her. He still piped down Sly Moore in canon.
I know we say this a lot but Christ, Kathy, she's got the appeal of a wooden plank, the least you could have done was make her less 1:1 in the likeability department.Rey is just the young, athletic, horse-faced British girl Kathleen Kennedy wishes she was.
I think the curse goes that only one of the main young actors goes on to have a reasonable career. Ford in the OT, Portman in the PT, and Driver in the ST. All three had prior acting chops, though if I'm remembering correctly being in Star Wars nearly killed Portman's career.Being in Star Wars didn't do much for Ridley's career, did it.
I mean, all three of the OT main actors went on to have good careers. Carrie Fisher was a "script doctor" for many movies in Hollywood and helped George out with the Prequels while Mark Hamill gave us the definitive Joker performance (among countless other VA roles). Harrison Ford is just the one that wound up becoming a proper Movie Star like you'd think of.I think the curse goes that only one of the main young actors goes on to have a reasonable career. Who was also in Star WarsKiera Knightley
I don't think they're much higher than any other studio. The only difference is you are hearing about them because Star Wars was involved. If this was any property except maybe Harry Potter they would be a totally ignored 4-liner in Variety. That is normal, what isnt normal is the quantity is announced them cancelled projects. That isnt a sign of good studio health and leadership.
not any more. Back in the day maybe, I think the only thing that would against him would be his voice being too well known from other roles. Also would Kelsey Grammer be a good voice for Darth Plagious?
nice to see that Disney has learned nothing
I won't go into too much PLing, but I know for a fact that a WH40K movie was at least being considered back in 2016 because a director I worked with at that time was a possible directing candidate. They scrapped that idea before it even came to pre-production. Many such cases. Normally, you don't hear about movies until they at least reach the pre-production stage.I don't think they're much higher than any other studio. It is just a convenient comparison. Star Trek doesn't have comparable powerscaling, no mages etc.Why does it bother you so much that there are things in Star Wars that surpass 40K? 40K isn't the world, you know. Star Wars wasn't competing with them during the late 90s and early 2000s; they were competing with things like western capeshit and anime, which had characters like Goku and Superman who can literally destroy entire planets.
Wasn't there the Ultramarine movie and it was bad?I won't go into too much PLing, but I know for a fact that a WH40K movie was at least being considered back in 2016 because a director I worked with at that time was a possible directing candidate. Mind you, I have literally nothing to back that up since it was basically hearsay, so take it as the ramblings of an internet schizo.
No idea, never watched it. Didn't that have John Hurt in it?Wasn't there the Ultramarine movie and it was bad?
In 1988, yesWho was also in Star Wars

I mentioned this a couple weeks back but her casting in the role of "badass and hardened desert nomad survivor/scavenger" was an absolute fucking joke. She didnt have the face for it, the build for it, and especially not the screen presence for it. If anything she would be far better suited (i.e. passable) in a Padme "Sheltered aristocrat with a badass streak" style role, though frankly Portman was infinitely better and more convincing as such a character and I aint speaking from rose tinted prequel nostalgia here.Does anyone actually like Rey to a point of enjoyment and not just indifference or tepid acceptance? I couldn't tell you a thing about her as a person so to speak, only the purpose her character severed.
I think skinny wasn't so much an issue, not a lot of donuts to scavenge in old star destroyers probablybecause she is a woman, its because she is a freakin palid stringbean w
