Why did he sterilize his house and replace the drywall if all he did was drop her off in the woods? Plus I believe he said he dropped her off at the gas station near Confederation bridge. He alluded to her bringing a tent and having survival skills.

I was thinking that did the dropping her in the woods part even happen or is it just a smoke screen? House renovations are a great decoy for getting tools that make disappearing body easier.

June 17th, 2023: Elora is (allegedly) dropped off at a gas station with a phone and a school bag, in an area close to the PEI-New Brunswick bridge.

June 19th 2023: She is allegedly last seen on Albert Street in Moncton, New Brunswick according to the RCMP.

The June 17 drop off was near a bridge to New Brunswick from PEI. If she was indeed spotted two days later in New Brunswick (far away from their home and PEI), it's unlikely that he killed her. He chased her down in some random town?

That's over an hour drive from the start of the bridge. It just doesn't make sense, unless the sighting on the 19th is fake.

I don't know about the 19th sighting, what stands out to me is the source, what is the source of this information? If she was spotted on camera they would have attached a picture to the missings person update to show exactly what she looked like the last time she was shown and what she was wearing. Was this just a verbal tip "I saw her here on X day", it could've been mistaken identity or it could be purposely misleading. If the RCMP have said where they got this information I'm unaware however.

It's just bizarre that after all this time there has not been a word from her, whether or not JF had anything to do with it or not. She has two young children and a family, nobody has heard from her? It's bizarre.

1) There's no evidence she was in Moncton - no video, no documents (i.e. homeless shelter intake forms), credit card receipts, etc.
2) After the hapless RCMP's report of a "sighting" of her wearing "a brown faux leather jacket, black pants and had a school bag with her", JF immediately retconned his own story and said that he suddenly remembered that she had clothes like that. He changed his story to conform to this claim.
3) Elora is a conspicuous, very tall, helpless woman with a speech impediment. She would stick out like a sore thumb if she were bumbling around a small town panhandling or whatever else.
4) After JF changed his story from her going on a survivalist adventure to her becoming an urban backpacker, the story's believability actually decreases, because if she were traveling around Moncton, Montreal, Quebec City, or other urban areas, then there would definitely be hard proof of life in the form of videos, photos, receipts, arrest reports, etc.

IF Elora was actually dropped off by the bridge, AND IF she was actually spotted 2 days later, I believe that rather than setting off on her own, Elora had second thoughts about leaving her children and came back to the home to get her children and take them with her. Whether JF picked her back up or she found another way to return is unclear..There is no way JF would let her take the children. I still believe that whatever happened to Elora, happened at the home. JF is not a large man, and Elora was not a small women, and him killing her somewhere other than home and then disposing of her body, unseen and without help would be very difficult.

Elora is still there, whether she is just ash, bits of bone, or sludge in the septic system...

The sighting on the 19th is most likely BS. They are generally unreliable unless the person reporting the sighting knew them or the camera footage is very clear.

There was a case in Florida this year, murdered 13 year old girl Madeline Soto. Mom’s boyfriend claimed he dropped her off near school and she was “spotted” outside at a nearby church on a security camera about 15 minutes later. Mom and BF said it was definitely her, media ran with it. Police got more footage over the next few days that showed her dead body strapped into the front seat as mom’s boyfriend left to take her to school that morning. She was never dropped off at school, she was never walking by a church.

But the sighting of her on camera was reported by the cops and media for the first week or two, right up until they arrested they had a press conference announcing they were sure she was dead and arrested the mom’s boyfriend.

Elora is a very normal looking woman. 5'10 is tall but no so tall as to "stick out like a sore thumb." The Missing Persons description doesn't mention a speech impediment or any mental issues (always thought that was odd). She managed to travel internationally and couch surf which makes me think she probably wasn't that helpless while on her own. She cooked, cleaned, gardened, dressed herself, took care of children. Whatever her issues were they do not seem to have been completely debilitating, aside from involving herself with JF.

Sightings of missing persons by strangers should always be taken with a massive grain of salt. Think of all the people you've seen out and about in the last week. If one of them were to go missing, what are the odds you'd remember seeing them?

This sighting is most likely just an eye witness one since the RCMP have not released a picture or footage of it, so it could be untrue.

If it is a true sighting, she could still have gone back to JF's and gotten killed then.

I'm not seeing any reason to be particularly hopeful about this case, but that they didn't flat out call him out on it doesn't mean they actually believed it. Unless and until they have enough to outright arrest him, there's no advantage telling him they don't believe him. Maybe they're hoping he stays smug and gets dumb.

Of course it's also possible they actually are so inept and apathetic they just decided oh well another dead tard who cares. . .

Yeah someone "saw her" in a certain outfit and suddenly magically JF remembered out of nowhere that "OH YES of course, though I earlier said I don't remember what she was wearing, I now completely remember she was wearing that exact outfit and backpack color! That was certainly her!" is what happened with that.

If she was genuinely seen 2 days later obviously he hadn't killed her yet and must have picked her up or she otherwise came back somehow. But use your brain brother. About 1000 people saw Madeleine McCann in about 50 different countries at the same time. I'm almost certain the sighting is inaccurate and just another of the slightly hefty frizzy haired women in French-Canada.
