I heard that story too from my great aunt and laughed it off. Then I took a DNA test for fun and it turned out I was around 7% feather indian. Also a distressing amount of French. My family on my mother's side largely claimed to be Italian, but there's like only a faint trace. Mostly surrender monkey. I still rub in my true and honest registered minority percentage to irk my leftie friends.

My brother asked the important question. "Any black?" And the answer to that was no.
I recently found out my grandpa was at some camp around the 1940s in some place named Auschwitz in some irrelevant country called Poland. Apparently he was a plumber or something and worked on showers? My grandma was at the same camp and my grandpa was apparently a weirdo Napoleonic person who didn't want his wife to bathe or something. Genetic history shit will leave you baffled.

While i don't doubt Trump is smarter than me (low bar)
A cursory glance at the chess thread here will show you that theres absolutely no connection between chess and intelligence, because a majority of the grand masters are absolute retards outside of chess
Imagine having a take so bad that a retard shoving an entire hotdog into his dickhole is somehow more enlightening.

To be fair to Colbert, conservatives who came on his show and understood the joke were welcomed back all the time. They would laugh with him, plug their thing, and it was a good time. Colbert was never cruel, he was doing a bit and some pundits went on the show without doing an ounce of research.

Once he got his late night show, he stopped doing the character that everyone loved and started being himself.
Fun fact: Colbert legally CAN'T play the "character" he "played as" on Comedy Central or use the bits he invented the for the Colbert Report; just variations that are legally different enough to pass a legal check.

He tried to "bring back the Colbert Report character" in 2016 during his first couple of months hosting the late show as a ratings stunt while covering the GOP convention and even got Stewart to come out of retirement for a humiliation ritual but of being Colbert's sidekick (and Stewart's infamous " you don't own anything, let alone the counter" hate speech, which severely damaged Stewart's legacy). Comedy Central (owned by the same Evil Corp that owns CBS) threw a huge shit fit and Colbert had to drop those plans for the rest of the week's coverage

Afterwards Colbert gave a huge interview with Rolling Stone where he shitted all over any conservative fans he might have had, saying he hated them, hated how retarded they were for thinking he was not a Commie pinko, and how he was glad they refused to watch the Late Show since he didn't t want them watching his show anyway; especially since he now has liberals watching his shows in large number to watch him shit on Trump and no longer was in danger of being fired (which he was in real danger of being given how bad his ratings were in the early months of his tenure hosting the late show).

You can file an objection immediately and argue that you have no reasonable way of obtaining the record,

Of course, if you advocate for yourself a tad too zealously then the judge will call your attempts to avail yourself of the legal system "antics" and give you the harshest civil penalty possible and then subject you to a struggle session in the penalty phase and allow a completely ridiculous civil fine to be levied.

This is because you are an odious person and enemy of the state, like Alex Jones.

What happened with Bush era comedy hosts (And people like Keith Olberman) is that post-9/11 nobody wanted to criticize Bush. That was fine, for a while. Trump should have gotten the same consideration with Covid and people should have backed off the usual partisan games. But, even Bush didn't get any unity for disasters by the time of Katrina.

So, for a while you could not criticize the Iraq War. You would get fired from MSNBC for opposing an invasion of Iraq. Criticizing the Iraq Invasion meant letting the terrorists have a free shot at nuking us. You would be "cancelled" for opposing the Iraq War.

So, along comes people like Jon Stewart and Keith Olberman to start pushing back against Bush. They gained a following because:

1. What they were saying was right. It was valid criticism. They were on the right side of history.
2. Nobody else was saying it. Dem leaders like Hillary were voting for the war.
3. It was a big risk to say it.

What made them popular was speaking actual truth to uniparty power. They, especially Olberman and to a much lesser extent people like Stewart or Maher, got confused and started thinking it was them that was particularly influential and powerful and intelligent and insightful and not that they were just vessels for the truth the same way God used human authors to write down the bible. When they stopped speaking truth and stopped speaking truth to power, the magic faded and the dimwit humans were all that remained.

Who is the famous TV host personality who is the closest thing to what Jon Stewart was? The one still speaking truth to uniparty power and poking at all the sacred cows and third rails? The one speaking out against Dick Cheney and his wars while the uniparty calls for his cancellation?

The one about to be sworn in as President. He's our modern Jon Stewart. We don't need the late night hosts to do it. It would be redundant. They should consider just laying off politics entirely and being entertainers for a while. Life in the crystal prison isn't so bad. You can still have fun.

I also consider Trump kind of dumb. And, he is DEFINITELY a liar and a teller of things that are not true. BUT, he does so much speaking of truth to uniparty power that it overshadows all the lies and mistruths. Like Olberman and Stewart, the imperfections are obvious to see, but if they are going to be the only people to stand up and tell the truths the uniparty wants to suppress then they are the ones people are going to cheer for. If someone on the left or the right wants to put forth a more perfect truth teller, then go for it. We're all waiting. Both candidates in this election did not have high approval. We picked the best from a not-so-great selection. Until then, Trump and Vance it is.

When Democrats insist on forcing MAJOR, MAJOR OBVIOUS lies like that doctors can surgically turn a man into a woman down the throats of the public, they hand the ability to tell the truth to Donald Trump. The truth is a powerful magic weapon. It gives massive buffs to the person who possesses it. If you think Trump is evil incarnate, ask yourself WHY YOU ARE ALLOWING EVIL INCARNATE TO WEILD THE TRUTH AS HIS WEAPON? All you have to do to disarm him of his best weapon is to STOP FUCKING TRYING TO FUCKING SUPPRESS THE FUCKING TRUTH YOU FUCKS!!
Got some details wrong

Maher always shitted on Bush and was fired from ABC post 911 while Stewart was still in the dick sucking phase post 911. It's reason why so many people keep giving Maher a benefit of the doubt because of him being one of the few people who sacrificed his livelihood to speak truth to power and why hacks like Sorkin tried to rewrite history to make it look like everyone in Hollywood openly supported him when most of the future snti-Trump Resistance hacks turned their backs on Maher.

Olbermann was hired to replace Donahue and in the cable news world, Fox News was king, CNN was run by cucks who retreated into true crime and quack science news shows to avoid criticizing Bush for his entire Presidency. MSNBC was dead last in the ratings when Keith, aware of the success of TDS, decided to ape it on prime time cable news along with bits of surreal comedy ala Monty Python and early SNL to create Countdown, culminating in his Howard Beale rip off rant about Katrina that cemented the network going hard left and the media suddenly going hard on Bush after years of softballing him.

But even at their peak bashing Bush, the Daily Show constantly hid behind their "we are comedians not news people" even though Stewart desperately wanted to have the power of being a news person but with none of the responsibility of being a news person. While Olbermann shamelessly ripped off the Daily Show and legitimized Stewart by applying his formula to cable news
