After going through the traffic stats of several websites you get an average across them all of about 1,775,000-1,898,904 users a month. This seems to make decent sense as 4stats.io gives us that average of 735,267 posts a day. Including lurkers which I believe makes a up a good majority of users the number seems fairly accurate if not a little high because of shit like bots etc etc.
Now to me I think any advertiser that has any actual umm class? Would see that 4chan is practically dead compared to its glory days. The site would easily hit over 10 million users during the 2016 election. So from 2016 to now that's about an 89.45% decrease in users.
My point is that advertisers definitely know already that 4chan is dead its just that the companies buying website space are just too shady or nsfw to go anywhere else. Also come on most 4chan threads are filled with coomers great place for where you know your ads will reach the right audience.
Now if advertisers aren't why they hide IP traffic now then I have no other theory.

Absolutely this. A quick look at /pol/ and you will see the same 3-4 threads repeated about every 15 minutes by a new user or fairly new user. There are no oldfags left anymore, true, but the activity levels has fallen below that of old browser based games like Nationstates ffs. Part of the reason is the changes to the site itself, part of it is the obvious nature of the honey pot that sites and apps like Tiktok, KF, Discord, and X are far better at hiding, and just the general culture shift. Zoomers don't know how to triforce, they don't care about your history, and they don't want to preserve it. Newfags truely have ruined the internet.

Maybe the 'cuck wouldn't be an insular, dying carcass of a site inhabited by spammers and coomers if you didn't have an elitist oldtroon culture and welcomed in high-quality posters that conflicted with your kulchur so that it could become something new and continue to grow and evolve.

The same can be said about all sites though. Look at Facebook, dead but still afloat by the sheer number of Boomers whose culture it supports. That is an example of a successful culture shift. A huge part of the culture issue is the changes in ownership. /pol/ was, at one point, left leaning by today's standards. It is now a far right honey pot which would not have been allowed originally. I agree with your sentiment that allowing high quality posters in and removing barriers would revitalize the site but, every site has it's own unique culture and flavor and it's very difficult to just change that without the site either collapsing, look at what happened previously with the last big bad of the internet, Fark.

I don't get this narrative, about how zoomers are heckin ruining 4chin culture.
