The male IQ curve is more spread out than the female one. Women cluster more closely around the mean and there are for more retards and geniuses in the male pool. That doesn’t mean there are no female geniuses, it just means there are fewer of them. Chess is a game that demands very high performance on skills linked to high iq so you’d expect that the pool of very good female chess players to be much smaller than the male one. Again this doesn’t mean women aren’t ever good at it, it means the potential pool is smaller
Chess is also a thing that requires utter obsession, and males do that more on average than women. The male chess advantage is basically all these overlapping bits of venn diagram narrowing the pool to the point it’s almost inevitable that the best are mainly men.
And yes, I guess that does mean men on average are better at it. There are such sex differences in a lot of things, which is why we have sex segregated leagues.

I would not be surprised in the event that IF, SOMEHOW, the current American "born in America, you're a citizen" requirement was repealed, there would still be an extremely wide berth for "settling into" the new citizenship method that would presumably be enacted thereafter. IE: everyone currently residing in the USA will retain or automatically be granted citizenship, a lot of visa workers or illegals be given a very easy path and timetable to achieve citizenship or risk the fabled Trump deportation, etc. This would explicitly be to lessen the inevitable societal overhaul and, yes, give as many people as possible a chance to keep their lives running as-is and the economic wheels greased.
There's even an example of "everyone residing in America is granted automatic citizenship" right in our history: upon adoption of the Constitution in 1789, which itself took two years to be ratified by the states and come into effect from its gestation in '87! Everyone residing in America who wasn't a slave became an automatic American citizen upon it becoming law of the land - this leads to the occasional trivia of why Alexander Hamilton didn't run for President since he was born in the West Indian island of Nevis - he could've! He was a citizen via the Constitution! He just didn't run because he was too tarred down by moral scandal and local political bollocks in his home state of New York to be electable on a national level.
