Alex is one of those people who's too arrogant to help. We know he acts like a chihuahua to compensate for his relationship and life behind closed doors which makes it all the more tragic.

That being said I can't wait until he gets his own thread on the Farms.
I would be down to help with the thread. If anyone else wants to get a DM chain going so we can talk about him feel free. It may be awhile before his socials resurface. I have a feeling he'll be too embarrassed to be on the internet for awhile.

I think Sam Hyde was hoping to do the same for Alex, for him to have a sort of revelation and use the experience in the tank to come out a better person. He nearly broke through to him, but when he realized Alex B has too many barriers and wasn't willing to drop any of them, he saw he was a lost cause. I can imagine Sam felt hopeful and disappointed in Alex B, as well as all 3k of Alex B's original endorsers.
The second Alex's face went in that ogre's ass it was over for me, there was no coming back from that. As someone who wanted Alex in the final 2 I might be traumatized from that. Traumatank is real.

Alex is gone and there is no chance he is coming back.
i know hes not coming back, but sometimes the key to seeing your own flaws is watching someone else impersonate you and reflecting, am i really that bad.
like when payton impersonated burt, he was like am i really that crazy.
i also think it would be funny to just have them be like we had a fan watching the show who claims to be the real monkey king, just to flex on alex.

edit, they should have Xavier do it. he could pull it off.

I feel like the uncertainty of the reward being real was sowed by production deliberately. It adds some entertainment and depth to why people would stay in the house if the reward may not even happen. Some of them sort of cornered Jet last night and asked to see their contracts again and he did the bare minimum to assuage them their concerns and pretty much told them very directly "the money is real. If you think it isn't then just leave right now".
Perhaps it was. They certainly didn't do too much to put those fears to bed. In my opinion, they should give them some time to chill. Remove Frank (maybe they shouldn't have brought him in till a few days after Alex's family's cameo). The tank needs time to heal. Though personally I am someone who just doesn't find Frank very funny, especially after S2 where he was a complete dud.

Anyway, time for them to announce that the prize pool has increased. They've paid out more than 50k every season and you know they will this time. Why not come out with it?

Binx told Peyton about what she saw on the site. Namely that chat moves way too fast to be readable and that TTS/plushies are actually very expensive. Personally I don't think these details being known really matters.

Also, too early for any of the Fish to have a thread. You can compile information and start one on PG but we won't know for awhile whether Alex or any others will be active enough online to be true lolcows. Personally I doubt it. Unless there is sustained output, there's no reason for a thread.

Edit: Binx and Peyton were also discussing the possibility that all Fish are getting weekly stipends and that Freeloaders get daily stipends. I think this is possible (and would be fair) but has never been confirmed.

I unfortunately never saw that moment live. Not that I especially want to watch it, but I'm asking because I want to understand Alex better, does anyone have the clip or a link to a clip of that event with some video before he actually did that so I can understand what transpired and the context of it? I've only seen the screenshot of him with his face in her ass and seen some quote that Sam Hyde made in reference to it.

There is zero chance Alex ever gets better. He's pushing 40 and he still hasn't learned, there's no hope for him. I have known people around Alex's age who are in similar life situations and you can't do anything to help them. It's like going in the water to save a drowning man, he just pulls you down with him. It's not worth it.

I kind of feel like the only way to deal with this, which they will hopefully do in future seasons is to have a SIM card set up on a dumbphone (like an old phone) that is linked to their bank account or a new bank account for them that shows when they "actually" receive money from the show via a bank deposit.

If they gave the fish like a $1000 "bonus" for each week they are on, or some amount of money for each day that they are on, then they would be a lot more emotionally invested in the outcome (but to be honest, everyone so far seems extremely emotionally invested)

But... that would remove the "joke" that they may have spent and wasted all this time on a show in which total chaos has been unfolding and the prize money might just be an elaborate lie.

6:45 in the video is the assmunching, everything before that is the setup.

I agree, but I don't want to say "zero".

While fishtank/Sam Hyde was unironically the best and most significant chance that he ever stood of having his current reality broken and improving himself... that is only so far.
If he is extremely lucky in life and comes across the "right people" he may find an environment in which he comes out of it and improves his personal circumstances, but coming across the "right people" in the first place is basically never, ever going to happen and broken people like Alex tend to attract either even more broken people or extremely exploitive people like the ogre. Given the grasp that the ogre has on his life currently, its extremely unlikely he'll ever come across the "right people" in the first place and even if the ogre goes away by some miracle, she will probably just be replaced by someone or something else that fills the place of the ogre (and she's pretty fucking big, so many it will be several people)

Binx: straight white men are the most fragile
Payton: *agrees*
These your girls? Lmaooooo

I will say that while Ron was the first male to leave of his own accord (I'm still foggy on Luke's departure but I think the agreed upon assessment is that it was ultimately a call made by production), Slimeball and Burt have been riding this out while we have watched Connor and Alex have absolute fucking meltdowns. One over his abusive wife and battered ego, the other over some gay jokes.

They think Burt's insane and so do not count him and I still have no fucking clue what their issue is with admitting Slimeball's a bottom feeder but possibly because he keeps a neutral face at minimum while around them, they don't count him in this.

They're incorrect overall but for the last several years a lot of white males have allowed themselves to seem fragile in the hopes of attracting female attention (the Ted effect), have opened themselves up to being more emotionally open and volatile online while has been the building blocks for some careers (Corpse Husband comes to mind), are more documented for their screw ups (gestures to a lot of the cows on the Farms), and in general might be who they have the most exposure to in their day to day lives.

There's also the matter of fragility showing up differently based on cultures and society. I would consider someone like P-Diddy to be a fragile piece of shit, but a lot of his behaviors are heralded as cool or manly in the scope of hip-hop and how it's packaged to audiences.

Connor being the reason Alex left truly completes his hidden gay arc. No idea what changed between him entering and the mess that was last night. I noticed while in the Cell he kept antagonizing Burt for little reason. At first I figured he had picked an easy target to harass but with how violently he reacted to old school YOU'RE GAY jokes, his closeted bi/homosexuality is all but confirmed in my eyes.

Alex managed to leave in the most limp-dicked way imaginable and I'm kind of pissed we were robbed of a more grandiose exit after he settled down last night. With his wife in charge of their social accounts, it's likely he'll fall into irrelevancy before this season of Fish Tank even completes.

It would be nice if he sees the error of his ways and at the very least gets himself a divorce but I can't find it in myself to be that hopeful after last night and him choosing to leave on another man's back.

One can only hope for Alex's sake that she'll have a widowmaker in the next few months. Then again, Alex has proven that he's a shit person in every aspect. Sure, he's theatrical and very expressive- which makes for good TV, but every other aspect of him is atrocious. He's one of the worst people I think we've ever seen on Fishtank. That says a lot. He makes Jimmy look like a saint. I actually hope he spirals into insanity and never changes.

Pullup Challenge - 10 Fishbucks

Final Score:
Jeff - 0
Mizzy - 0.7
Binx - 0.2
Payton - 5
Burt - (did 2/3rd reps) 10
Jeet - (cheated on 8 of them by doing 1/5th of a pullup) 17
Jewb -Ignored by Sam
Frank - 9/11

Burt is surprisingly terrible at anything fitness related for being a roided "personal trainer" and muscular.
Jeet has a low body weight and actually knows how to do the exercises.

The team who improves their pullups the most within one week gets immunity for their entire team. The person who improves the most gets 10 fishups.

Team 1: Binx Jobe Burt
Team 2: Mizzy Jeet Payton

Connor theory: it struck me as odd he's was fired for just doing typical boys club shit like a nut tap on another dude, and even more strange he want just transferred. I think he's actually gay, and was fired for coming on way to hard to another male officer, and was paradise for being a possible fag. It's why he was so worried about the gay shit, that it might out him as a queer.

Police officers are some of the biggest fags on earth, it was more likely that it was a failure to fit in properly. They cover for and suck each other off religiously.
