Trump won because he was about bringing joy, bringing happiness, back to our lives

You should be happy. It's okay to be happy. It's okay to want to be happy. You should be able to build a life and a country that make you happy. It's okay to be angry at the people who endlessly bombard you with reasons why you shouldn't be happy, why you shouldn't even want to be happy, why you can't and shouldn't create happiness for yourselves, the people who create the conditions that make you unhappy. That was his message. That's what his cringey little dances and love for "YMCA" are about. When someone doesn't care what they look like, they're just enjoying themselves, that draws people to them. Anyone ever scared to go out on the dance floor because they think they'll look stupid, who sees other people not giving a shit about looking stupid and getting a positive reaction from the crowd, and then they do it themselves and get a positive reaction, knows that

One campaign was portrayed as all about joy and it was all fake and gay. There was no real joy

The other campaign was portrayed as wanting to take away joy when it was never about anything but the opposite of taking away joy

I do feel joy when troons 41.

Btw, went to a big party with my family yesterday. We were invited by friends, and there were some people we didn't know.

I overheard a conversation taking place among some acquaintances and some people I had only just met. They were commiserating over the election. Some of the shit these people said was so damn snobby and out of touch ... I can't even. I didn't say anything because I didn't want to start a ruckus at someone else's party ... And I was chasing after my toddler, haha.

The thing I overheard that stood out to me: "Well, most of the people who voted for Trump are literally uneducated and don't have college degrees. They don't know any better, so I guess they have to learn eventually."

This. This is what leftists think of blue collar workers, lower income families who couldn't afford college, etc. They really do think of us as garbage and lesser lifeforms ... And this is all the while they claim to be the party of "love," "tolerance," and "empathy."

Yeah, the dude that skipped college to become a plumber who makes 6-figures a year is not as "enlightened" or as "educated" as the liberal arts college graduate who put themself in a 6-figure debt.

I'm sorry, but I can't get the "sniffing your own farts out of a wine glass" episode of South Park out of my head right now. Blows my mind how egotistical some people are.

Honestly, if I had just won an election over a country that is clearly divided with many people openly hating my guts and my boss surviving more than one assassination attempt and I had two months of peace before I assumed the role I was elected to, I'd probably lay as low as humanly fucking possible myself.
I always thought that trump standing on stage at RNC with his whole family and VP pick whilst nesum dorma is performed lived and balloons are being dropped and popped all over the place with none of them flinching sent a powerful message they won't be caught lacking again.

they're sounding an awful lot like the French nobility circa 1799

Unrelated, I kind of wish they could roll things back one at a time so we can determine what exactly causes what. But I also realize some changes won’t be seen for a generation or two so it’s just not practical. We need help now.
True, take Crisco for example, it was first launched in the early 1900s (with free cookbooks!) but the damage caused by trans-fats wasn't apparent for many decades.
The introduction of processed vegetable oil and margarine (primarly based on soy oil) in the 1950s didn't improve the situation, even President Eisenhower was fooled to believe that margarine was a healthy alternative to butter. High-Fructose Corn Syrup wasn't really a big thing before the 1980s.

And then there is glyphosate and monoculture, in fact you should probably grow your own food like Varg Vikernes.

Now? She deserved one over 15 years ago.

She was the only thing that gave the McCain campaign a pulse. His campaign was dead before she was picked as his running mate.

I will forever be extremely angry about everything that happened to Sarah Palin.
Based off what I've heard about the McCain/Palin campaign, I would say Palin definitely deserves an apology for being thrown under the bus when they lost. Even though I don't agree with everything she said, no one deserves to be ridiculed like she did.

I was a kid when all that went down, so I only heard about all this years after that election.

If they're so smart why couldn't they win an election.
"The uneducated people outnumber us smart people! Reeeee!"

If there's one thing that the left lacks (you know, aside from basic decency or intellectual honesty), it's introspective. They are the biggest textbook narcissists on the planet. The genuinely believe that there is no possible, conceivable way that the election was lost due to their own behavior, actions, and policies that have ruined so many people's lives.

Also, the irony of using the word "uneducated." Lots of these people put themselves in such echochambers that they simply don't take the time or effort to educate themselves on what's actually going on in the world. All they do is regurgitate what the TV box tells them without a single thought of even questioning it or doing the research for themselves.

Then COVID came along and the media essentially fooled people into voting for "the adults in the room" to fix a completely overblown panic
understatement of the fucking millennium.

I can't believe people got fucking suckered into giving up a portion of their freedom over a bug that essentially amounted to a flu that (almost always) killed fatties and boomers. What's worse is that COVID as a "happening" fucking normalized mask wearing for sick people when it used to be just an asian thing. Wearing masks is the gayest fucking thing ever. It's fine if it's my dentist wearing it while working on my teeth, but it's so stupid when people are wearing it in the fucking car while driving.

I hate the fact that society these days are so fucking spooked over getting ill. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong about staying as healthy as you can, but when you're using hand sanitizers every 5 seconds after touching things when you go outside your house, that's fucking psychotic behavior. You have an immune system for a reason and it needs to be exposed to things in order to know how to properly handle it so it can get stronger for the next time.

The germaphobes have completely lost touch with reality.

Sarah Palin deserved an apology many years ago. She was never as bad as people want to act like she was (or is).
McCain threw her under the bus after the election. Except for Trump there's no other politician that's been treated as unfairly. Going after her family and kids, laughing when some pornstar made porn dressed as her, 'I can see Russian from my house!" quote was pulled from a fucking SNL skit.

If Thune wants to get immediate good boi points, allowing recess appointments and getting the cabinet in by directly going against Mitch the Bitch would be a good start. Because it's going to be obvious Mitch will vote against a few picks just out of spite.

Fuck them all to death.
Trump said during Rogean he allows people to oppose him for their benefit if they are honest and strategic about it. Thune opposing him and being blocked let's him keep his RINO status but does nothing to stop Trump. He can keep playing the incompetent goof as long as he doesn't try anything fucky.

Thinking about it. "Opposing" trump might give them some legal ground against conflict of interest or collision down the line.
