understatement of the fucking millennium.

I can't believe people got fucking suckered into giving up a portion of their freedom over a bug that essentially amounted to a flu that (almost always) killed fatties and boomers. What's worse is that COVID as a "happening" fucking normalized mask wearing for sick people when it used to be just an asian thing. Wearing masks is the gayest fucking thing ever. It's fine if it's my dentist wearing it while working on my teeth, but it's so stupid when people are wearing it in the fucking car while driving.

I hate the fact that society these days are so fucking spooked over getting ill. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong about staying as healthy as you can, but when you're using hand sanitizers every 5 seconds after touching things when you go outside your house, that's fucking psychotic behavior. You have an immune system for a reason and it needs to be exposed to things in order to know how to properly handle it so it can get stronger for the next time.

The germaphobes have completely lost touch with reality.

Medical masks are actually useful ... To prevent spreading bacteria particles (not viral particles like with Covid). It's well-known that bacterial particles are much larger than viral particles, so masks are actually pretty effective at the prevention of spreading bacterial infections.

That is why dentists wear them for their clients, and that is why surgeons wear them while operating on people. It makes logical sense and it is actually rooted in proven science.

The efficacy of wearing masks in regards to covid has been debunked over and over and over again ... And yet so many people were effectively brainwashed and trained like dogs to wear them regularly even to this day. Blows my damn mind.

In March of 2020, I was definitely scared of covid given how unknown it was at the very beginning of everything. Once the "two weeks to slow the spread" ended and nothing changed, though, I knew then that something was up. By April of 2020, I was dooming all over the place trying to tell everyone that what was happening was dystopian. Granted, I wasn't fooled for long, but I was still fooled for a period of time though.

I really do think that if 9/11 had never happened, then the psyop with covid would not have gotten as far as it did. The aftermath of 9/11 basically trained Americans to be more "obedient" to the narrative and to surrender our civil liberties when we are scared.

Similar story here. Simply basing information off of China's response was my general idea, since my thinking was that China would do everything it could to minimize political ramifications and thus censor how bad it was. This only increased since I was early on the train of the "It's a weaponized virus". Now, Covid was a weaponized virus at least at some point of it's development in the labs, but after a couple of months and looking at all the fuckery being done with how they counted covid deaths, and then reviewing those versus previous death rates, I quickly became disenchanted.

The big thing when it comes to crisis management is react and review to get the most efficient and effective response, and most of the government forgot the review portion. In fact, I don't think it even knows what review is anymore, considering they can't change their initial reactions to every disaster we've had in years.

Ironically this is why Florida has actually been doing really good at disaster management, they've reviewed a lot of their responses and are actively reviewing during the disaster itself. Nobody else, even the people/organizations who USED to be top of the line specialists in emergency response fields, have seem to completely ignore the guidelines they've written. It is, ironically, a disaster in and of itself brought upon us by the pencil pusher autocracy.

they're sounding an awful lot like the French nobility circa 1799
I firmly believe Trump winning in 2024 saved a lot of lives. You can only tell people stop believing their lying eyes. For so long before they start building guillotines and killdozers. Another four years of inflation, open borders, public degeneracy, open government corruption, and smarmy cucks sneering at the poor and working class they may have seen actual fascism. Unfortunately people like moviebob get to keep tweeting how much they hate us and want us dead for wrong think.

I wanna expand upon this, because the masks they wear also don't fucking work. Surgical masks do not prevent the transmission of viruses. They are to prevent you from spraying spit on a surgical site or to keep you from getting infectious fluids in your mouth.

Note the fact that they are open on the sides. There is no seal. N95s are better, but the filter is generally not enough to keep something as small as a virus from making its way through. And I'm talking about an actual N95 with tight rubber bands, not the bullshit duck bill or vertical slit masks that started showing up when we collectively started conflating any face covering with a filtered mask.

Are masks better than nothing? Feasibly, but if you're so fucking deranged 4 years after the fact as to be wearing masks everywhere to slightly decrease your odds of a mild cold, it is my genuine and professional opinion that you should commit suicide with a gun.

Edit: @StarkRavingMad summed it up very well and I didn't see it.

Why the fuck can’t California finish counting their votes? Its been stuck at 93 percent since yesterday. Oregon didn’t finish till like yesterday too. Liberals are such incompetent retards.
Sorry, I'm going to have to invoke the inverse of Hanlon's Razor here, this is malfeasance and not incompetence. You make too many assumptions when other states finished their counting in hours.

The thing I overheard that stood out to me: "Well, most of the people who voted for Trump are literally uneducated and don't have college degrees. They don't know any better, so I guess they have to learn eventually."
>don't have college degrees
As if having a college degree means anything these days.

Even before Trump I knew college degrees were bullshit. Back when instant messengers (AIM/Skype/Yaho/etc...) were still a thing, I was chatting with a chick that had a bunch of degrees in culinary arts and chef related things and still couldn't find anything.

Also just because you have a shiny piece of paper doesn't mean you're really good at your job. Do you know how many people that work office jobs that have degrees in administration or something equivalent have no business working in an office job to begin with? (Answer: Too many to count). You get more knowledge and experience from actually doing shit than learning it in a textbook.

Then again, I was the kid that went into a coma 5 minutes into reading about Mongolians in History class for the 34567834567th time, so what do I know.

Also if they somehow start something it may give them an excuse to stay in power.

Mitch is been puppeteered into saying there will be no recess appointments. Dudes been compromised and looks worse than Biden.
Yeah about that

The journoscum that posted it went DFE

no retraction, no clarification

So, it's likely she did actual journalism and released something that got out that Mitch the Bitch didn't want out, and he put the screws on her to take that off the goddamned internet.
