Lucas was talking about how hard it is to train civilians but you cannot train them the same way you train someone who has to do this professionally. If you cannot make your training interesting from a hobbyist perspective, then civilians just will not be engaged in the content.

That's probably the biggest critique I have with Lucas's content, IMO. Im fine with him emphasizing citizen preparedness and getting people to be more conscious of this but every time I watch a video from him I get the impression that I'm supposed to treat this like a full time job and not a hobby I casually engage in on the weekends. Would not surprise me if that translates over to his classes.

There are other YTers who've made videos covering those subjects, and none of them dress up like SOF or SWAT guys.

You can find quite a lot of videos by random dudes just by searching for things like "get home bag" and whatnot. There are actually a lot of videos out there for inspiration. I think one of the better YTers I've found that covers a well rounded assortment of subjects is Uncle Freedom. I also recently came across Echo Mike. He covers tactical stuff, but also survival and field craft.

99.9% of the population does not have time, money, or resources to go LARP in preparation for events that are extremely unlikely. They have jobs, families, other hobbies, other obligations, and you know, lives.

The best way to win a gunfight is to not be there. It's not low standards, it's knowing your mission and your limitations. If your mission is "get home unharmed" or "keep your loved ones safe", then self-appointed sheepdawging runs afoul of that. If you don't have a sworn legal duty to go confront danger, then it's not your problem. Swallow your ego.

ALICE or similar is great. Takes the weight of the belt and puts it on your shoulders but still allows you to breath. I usually take my holster, a USGI 2qt canteen and a M16 mag pouch which makes for a great general pouch for anything. it fits a 16floz bottle of water perfectly for example.

I have lots of guns, I carry a handgun 99% of the time that I'm out and about in public and own a plate carrier. I also keep several months of non-perishable food in my home...

That being said; the vast majority of people who act like or identify as "sheep dogs" are insufferable faggots. Think you need to keep a covert IFAK kit to survive a trip to the grocery store? Pay the ten bucks to make a wage slave deliver them to your house. Scared of niggers? Don't live around them.
