Somehow nobody seems to have noticed, but the Hacksaw map (added last year with Smissmas 2023, the same update that introduced the Tran S. Wright nameplate on Turbine Center) has a pride flag hidden inside one of the trees:


Checking the update and edit history of the TF2 Wiki page for the map shows it was updated on July 18th, 2024 to "fix localization issues." 12 days later on July 30th, the wiki was updated with trivia about the flag and a screenshot of it in-game:


These fucking faggots secretly and retroactively inserted this shit months after it was added, and mind you the patch date is for the Summer 2024 update that also infamously introduced the Desk Engineer cosmetic that had the hidden tranny and bisexual flag "easter eggs" behind the badge which were removed a month afterwards per-demand of Eric Smith.
Who's to say more of this hasn't been done, completely unnoticed? Who's to say they won't continue to try to retroactively add this stuff, in maps or even cosmetics as apart of seemly inconspicuous patches? And who's to say they won't try to do this to years-old, decade-old content? This is fucking absurd.

I should note that the main creator of the map is Diva Dan, a known TF2 Emporium faggot whom is mostly likely the person responsible for it's addition.

I do agree it's unprofessional but to be fair most TF2 Team correspondence is unprofessional by nature. Look at blog posts made by the team from years past. They've always been goofsters.

On a side note I didn't realize how bad tf2 has been getting until I hopped into Shounic's 100 player server. They had a "no horny posting" rule which I found odd, how bad is it for them to need a rule for that? I dont get why these people do this stuff, the tran s wright door i understand since its just a name pun for an office door and hard to see playing tf2 legit (the map also only being playable in christmas time also helps) but shoving a pride flag in a tree? The trans flag on the engine shirt?

We probably wont see changes made to the christmas time maps until its christmas time again, same reason why halloween maps dont get fixes until halloween.
