It's so bizarre to me that superfats spend their whole lives obsessing about food, but never bother to cook. They're almost always living with a decent kitchen, enough money for ingredients and access to a zillion instructional youtube videos.
Ah, but there is a slight yet very distinct difference with deathfats, particularly ones as big as Corissa et al. They don’t like food, they like eating. They will have their preferences, sure. But overall they eat because the mere action makes them feel good short term. A DoorDash addict like Corissa is not going to feel satisfaction learning a skill like cooking because they want their Taco Bell NOW.
They don’t think that nearly every taco and burrito at home would be theoretically cheaper, more delicious, more satisfying, and ready much sooner than the hour plus times normal for delivery nowadays. Cooking takes away from much wanted eating time for them. They just have to tap some buttons while sitting on their ass and will happily shove cold tacos down their throat an hour later because they only had to get up for a minute to pick it up at their doorstep. When you just want to eat (and will wash it down with more soda and snacks an hour later anyway), that’s good enough.
Similar for something like the fatsionista’s demand for fast fashion in all sizes despite the circumstances. They don’t actually care about looking good. They care about wearing anything that’s not a beige muumuu.
Much like cooking, if they actually learned to sew then they’d learn how much work actually goes into pattern drafting and construction. Corissa and Juliana alone would require different cuts and adjustments from their fat distribution and heights. Learning a skill (and maybe some appreciation) is too hard when instant gratification is a higher priority. Which is one reason why telling someone like J to put down the fork if they want something in the long term angers them so much.
Anti capitalists really are the most ardent followers of capitalism.
Campbell's chicken noodle and saltines. Maybe some ginger ale or orange juice when not eating. I hate being sick but I could demolish some chicken soup right about now.
They are all soft on the stomach and easy to reheat, if that. Makes an unpleasant experience easier to get through if you want to eat at all. But despite that it’s technically an experience to eat them while sick, it’s not the “right” experience for Corissa, I guess.
