Mega Rad Gun Thread

@AGPinochet where's that bumpy blicky thing? Didn't see it on reddit, is it unreleased or smth? Where are you finding the cool 3D stuff, is there a place idk about?
Do you speak of this
Max Venom made a "Bump Lock" for a Glock
If so, you can find it here, for $200
The Prospective DIY Option is has only been CAD'd up by a redditor

If you are instead referring to the DIY FRT I mentioned in passing, that is still in development and there hasn't been an update in a month or two (which is not surprising or cause for alarm, these things take time)

I bought this back when I got my first AR and it's all I've ever need for my guns. Works fine, and it's never gotten gummy in cold weather. Pistols don't require a lot of lube, but I'm generous with it when it comes to my ARs. I clean my EDC G19 at least once a week, and deep clean my ARs maybe once a month. If I'm lazy, I'll run an Otis Ripcord bore snake through my ARs, but I actually enjoy cleaning my guns. I don't shoot my shotgun very often, so that gets cleaned occasionally, mostly just running the 12 gauge Ripcord through it. Otis sells a 3 gun bore snake pack that I bought a while back. Very convenient.

Bro this feels ghetto as fuck compared to the SIG MG 338. You're making me defend SIG. Stop China.

What are the chinese smoking making RWBY weapons real? A fucking double barreled knife gun in 5.8x21mm, this:

Just going off wikipedia, the power ranges from either 335 J or 420 J. You only got two shots, plus the knife itself. Shit, if you only got 2 shots in your knife gun, might as well spring for 45 or 44 magnum or some other mongo caliber for this VERY VERY niche weapon that is likely only going to special forces.
Hopeful, but I dunno if it's enough to slap down $250 on a preorder..... yet.

Keeping my eye on this for my SKS since it just seems drag and drop without modifications. Like the folding ability, though proably not the most comfortable. Wonder how much weight it shaves from the original 8.5 pounds?

Why do Americans like sks's so much?
I mean, if you didn't pay an arm and a leg for an SKS, the stock would be pretty cool. As far as why we like them so much, SKS rifles were cheap af for a pretty long length of time until they started getting raped in price. A lot of people in America grew up shooting SKS rifles or it may have even been their first gun, so there's a lot of accessories and culture surrounding them.

It was imported in mass quantities and was originally sold very cheap competing with US-made products. Today, the speculative market abuses FOMO(the fear of missing out) while pushing the cheap shit of yesterday for the same money as better, recently produced products.

Rate my AK? Also I want some suggestions on how to set this up better for left-handed shooting. My sling seems to get in the way of a lot of different rifle manipulations.

Yugo with a can is pretty cool - 7.62 out of 8. As for the sling, I like the front loop further forward and mounted on the side of the forearm on the weak side of the gun, but that's just me.

That thing looks ergonomic as hell. Any recommendations for me? I have this geovtec but I'm not too sure about it
The sling looks fine, I'd just echo what @WhatInTheActualFuck said about trying to move the front sling point around a little to see how it feels. I'm not sure what you're working with in regards to your handguard.

Reactions: Pocket Dragoon
When it was being imported enmasse it was cheap reliable and parts were readily available. Plus it has a drip especially if you have a working bayonet and retro glass on it 🤌
Basically yeah. The Bayonet is especially fun to swing out, just that motion man, it's peak.

In any case, favorite M60?

Gotta pick the original for me even if something like the E4 is objectively better, like that long barrel and flash hider

i'm partial to the M60E3 - lot of good experiences using one back in the day. it's an excellent light-weight "raider" platform with trucks, armored vehicles, brown water stuff, or doing air assault with. the E4 being a marginal improvement for more open areas, but other than stealing a top cover for the rail, i never really used an issued one. the M60B was a weird one to use on a pintle (dismounted from old Huey's). i think the Coasties have a bunch now, as well as the USFS has a few too for mountain drug field area control.

I think this is a B btw

But I believe you. The E3 looks light, perfect for a raider role where you need to go fast and haul ass. The cut down barrel certainly adds to that. I feel proud in a way as a American that the M240 never fully replaced it. Still has use as a lightweight 7.62x51mm. There are newer lightweight 7.62 machine guns, some in US service, but the pig is still kicking. Love seeing videos of it firing, has that slow staccato chug a lot of GPMG's don't since their fire rate is higher than 550-650.

Why do Americans seem to have love for either the latest HK416/M27 clone/Soviet-era SKS/AK reproduction but none for the CAR-15?

Had the honor of serving with this thing and I loved it. Sure it’s from the 60s but it was simple to maintain/remedy with Decent range, light-weight and great if you’re carrying massive weight through the woods or in closed quarters.

There certainly is love for it but as far as owning one goes there's a hurdle in the form of a tax stamp, a crappy arm brace or the barrel and flash hider being comically long to reach 16".
Most people focus on the GAU-5/"Colt Commando" iteration.

The CAR-15 is a cool shorty rifle, it's just hard to own as a civvie, short barreled rifle laws and all that. And the moderator is considered a suppressor, so if you want a accurate clone, that's a tax stamp and lots of paperwork. Easier to own a M4 clone with a 16 inch barrel or a 14.5 with a pinned brake to make it 16 inch, cheaper too.
