Things I like so far:
-Night is still dark as fuck. As dark as CoP.
-Mutants are still spooky.
-Guns feel good.
-Ukrainian VA's aren't terrible to listen to.
-Not too much handholding. They throw a bloodsucker at you pretty early on with no warning.

Thing's I don't like:
-150 GB download.
-For how narrow the opening is, the story isn't very interesting so far. Maybe it either gets better or opens up.
-Cutscense are annoying.

Seems like only admin and moderator approved mods allowed.
I have no knowledge about how easy it will be to mod on UE:5, but I'm half surprised they didn't try to make their own Bethesda tier "creation club".
Will have to visit Russian sites to find any half based mods, knowing how captured nexus has been.

Yeah, my PC goes crazy when unpacking stuff from her (?), it's more resource intensive than actually playing the game. Ramzes is a cool guy, agreed.

The colors are nuts. If this is default settings, devs have pumped up the Saturation about as much as I do when I play STALKER fan games, and at least I have the excuse that I have fucked up eyes and heavy oversaturation helps me identify shit.

Modding Haven and Based Mods will host any unwanted mods and there is nothing they can do about it

It just looks like a mod for the original STALKER with a bunch of added bugs and graphics from 10 years ago. At least they kept Russian as a language option so I'll give them that.

Cheeki breeki comes from that so its kind of its identity. Im so glad theres a remove yellow paint, now if only someone could mod it so you can pick and choose what to download out of the fucking massive file size.

If anyone gets the lighting to look like call of pripyat please post settings...
 
So several hours in I'm having fun so far and the worst thing I can say about the core of the game is that the prologue is total dogshit and such a poor representation of the rest of it I'm almost positive it was the result of some investor mandate. The performance is also shit, UE5 is probably one of the worst engines ever in terms of how optimized it is, my CPU is put to its knees whenever I enter the first town in the game (It's a Ryzen 5600x, so while it is a few years old it's still does a great job whenever a dev actually optimizes their game.)

Granted I have likely been extremely lucky when it comes to bugs and glitches, most obvious one I've seen so far was a Flesh launching into space when I killed it while it was leaping at me.
