Incendiary OPs are an old internet tradition

I can attest to the Linux community always falls for this. I got many an answer by saying Windows does this better is various ways. They can't stop themselves from trying to prove you wrong and inadvertently fix your issue. It is what having an inferiority complex about operating systems and crippling autism gets you.
/v/ is much the same. Not even game music threads get any real engagement anymore.
Nobody really wants to engage without several layers of irony now.

So back to schizos
>Artifact spammer
I'd say this is a kind of a thanks doc situation where you just post that and people can say "there it is". But only one poster gets it so I can see why it seems like one person, but, if it IS one person, they are indeed very persistent.
However the spammer I got the most enjoyable experience from is cris in nay of the boards he frequents. I'm still not sure what this guy's deal is but he's been at it for years creating Skitzo art skribbles and a "game" of sorts. Another one that stood out in the game dev threads a while back, a guy who was showing off a procedurally generated massive city, but it looked really bad and was in all aspects, pretty underwhelming. But he acted like the biggest dickhead and skitzo ranted to himself in replies.

The best /v/ schizo is Barry or Baztek. Find a Square Enix thread or KH or FF thread and he is there.

See above, it was always an 8chan op. There was an entire documentary about it, featuring everyone's favorite stuttering pedo jew Mark Mann for some reason. Why they started doing this on 4chan is beyond me, altho I do remember that Q(again, 8chan owner's son namefagging) always posted on 8chan as long as I can remember. Probably deniabilty in case the jig was up way too quickly, it would be too suspicious of Q ONLY posted on 8chan.
As for what happened to them on 8chan, they formed their own board, /Qlarp/ or something like that, and last I checked it was the only active board on 8kun. Kind of like the only living thing within a corpse are the maggots feasting on it.
It doesn't surprise me at all that gayfatjew m*rk wouldn be involved, I used to think it was all Jim Watkins before he became obviously demented and the rest was just running on retard juice fumes, why the fuck they went all in on the boomerlarp still confuses me.

The same can be said about all sites though. Look at Facebook, dead but still afloat by the sheer number of Boomers whose culture it supports. That is an example of a successful culture shift. A huge part of the culture issue is the changes in ownership. /pol/ was, at one point, left leaning by today's standards. It is now a far right honey pot which would not have been allowed originally. I agree with your sentiment that allowing high quality posters in and removing barriers would revitalize the site but, every site has it's own unique culture and flavor and it's very difficult to just change that without the site either collapsing, look at what happened previously with the last big bad of the internet, Fark.
It's sort of happening already, otherwise /a/ wouldn't be full of shounen threads for example. (wish they'd soft-ban shounen series like one piece and naruto to general threads though)

True, it could be a "joke" to post the same shit every time even if you don't care about Artifact or aren't even the same person. I'm too used to modern 4chan dynamics so now I automatically assume repetitive posting patterns like this are always the result of obsessed autistics. Too many people want to be "the Barneyfag of X" where X is whatever topic or pet peeve the autistic wants to obsess about.

I don't think you really understand how big it was. Before 8chan fell apart, the Q board had more posts and active IP's than every other board combined, including /v/ and /pol/, despite being hidden on the catalog. The entire board was full of threads with thousands of replies ranging from following Q lore to just some really great stuff (ex: deep state is changing the color of the sky, model of the solar system is a deep state conspiracy, and a few of the usual suspects like chemtrails). A lot of the highlights like Q posts would be featured by bloggers and Youtubers who would direct more boomers to the board for "research". They basically single handedly help keep the site afloat until the end despite the rest of the userbase not even knowing they were there.

Lee probably did a good thing in helping make sure that the rest of 4cuck didn't get flooded with MLP spam.

Not sure if it would work now though, baiting these people now seems to be far more common than it used to be. You'd probably end up with something like /a/ where for example the pro-yuri and anti-yuri people obsessively argue to each other

When Lee started his spam crusade, ponyposting outside of /mlp/ was already on a decline except for /co/, because it's a cartoon, and trash boards like /b/, /trash/, /s4s/ and /qa/. If anything eventually people started ponyposting just to trigger Lee, until even that got old.

Still doesn't change the fact that Lee won and has been vindicated

I’d rather see Shounen Jump show of the season threads over the endless stealth waifu and goon threads that exists merely for anon’s to take turns jerking each other off.

Ugh, The whole site has been consumed by that, every thread is a goon thread. Somebody explain it to me because to my brain there is nothing gayer than wanting to jerk off with other men, you are basically doing the online equivalent of the old back to back.

This is where an anon would call you a tranny or roast beef flapper that’s jealous of their fan art reach around sessions.

/a/ deserves retarded shonen threads for being an eternal gooncave since its inception. Besides, /dbs/ is one of the last vanguards of culture and creativity on the 'cuck, much like the 4chan Happenings threads on /trash/ and the occasional soyjak thread on /b/. Since /m/ is going down that path now as well, I'm tempted to say it deserves endless Double X and Zetarager threads just to displace the porn. Hopefully SEED Freedom Zero ends up insane and controversial enough (but still good) to result in lots of memes and fun. I can't believe we're literally at the point where SEED is what it takes to not only save anime, but /m/ as well.

How do you guys feel about Saging? The concept and etiquette for it to me seems to have died around 2010 or so. The majority of users now don't seem to know it's even a thing let alone being duped into believing it doesn't function anymore. Even when it comes to vocal Sage there'll be the most chaotic, off-topic of threads and the Mods will snipe vocal Saging while often times leaving up dozens of other low quality and rule breaking posts. I feel like it's just easy pot-shots they take, like with porn and gore, instead of dealing with chronic shitposter, flamewars, spam, etc.
