I agree with this. I could definitely see how it would be advantageous to TPTB to burn votes and only measure turnout, but if I believed that wholesale then I wouldn't put any stock into who blacks and latinos "vote" for, because I wouldn't believe those votes actually mattered at all. I only say this because Josh seemed very clear and unambiguous when he described how badly democrats have fucked up by importing millions of latinos who don't even vote for them. In the past he has said something along the lines of "anyway, this is all just playing pretend and imagining that democracy actually exists and your votes actually matter", but if he really believes that they just burn votes, then why get all passionate about who latinos vote for?

Probably too video gamey for BAVG, I recently played it and even without pressure of streaming live, I constantly need to reload and retry things. I agree that the theme of the game is fitting, but it is fairly old and there's no journalist mode and Null is too ascended for "normal video game mechanics". It would probably end up in the drawer, like Sekiro.

This may sound a bit random, but have you unscrewed and checked if the ethernet port are even properly cabled? I already had a very nasty surprise once where I saw an Ethernet port, assumed it was properly set, only to later find out that it was empty behind it and it was only a dummy port. Though with your stay being so short, may not be worth it to start raising hell if that's the case with the owner.

Modern network cards can compensate for miswired connectors or noisy links with swapping ports around internally and reducing speed if the pairs were violated.
A monkey could wire a port and it would probably work.

Moral:
If the port don't work, and there's no shorts, blame the device at the other end (Or lack thereof). Provided you have a modern NIC.

(((Unless it is completely unwired like you suggested.)))

I worked at a place where we crimped our own cables(which is a stupid idea, don't do this) and one of the network engineers paired the wires instead of splitting the pairs in the connector like you're supposed to. We were wondering why it only worked at 100Mbit.

He was black. I don't think that was the problem I think he was just retarded.

Had two different situation where I was installing DSL with weird crap happening.

In the first one the phone company was sure they had signal to the building. but there was no DSL cabling inside the appartment, so they drilled outside, put in a cable from outside the building and set up the Ethernet box to hook up the router next to the hole.

Second one was a street level appartment. Turns out the ethernet socket had nothing behind it. So the phone technitian was able to drill outside, bring a cable from outside the building into the central cable distribution box of the flat, send it to where the ethernet socket was and left it properly hooked up.

Could be a regional thing, bit where I'm at, the technician will come in to set up the router and won't leave till it's either working or can give a firm "not doable". And in both cases the technitian was enough to hook up the missing pieces. Just trying to give ideas.
