Don't get me wrong; good for Bossman for getting out... but HOW? I thought to be let out, he need a bond for both the drug charge and the domestic... and the OTHER domestic. Did he already have bonds set for both DV charges, and they were just waiting on the possession/violation/eluding charges?

Is the rehab a 30 day sentence, or longer? His court date is in 2025, so I'm guessing rehab until then? (Unless he bosses it up again?)

Edited to Add: Almost forgot the most important question... when do we take the bars off?
Yeah it looks like they didnt have a hold on him for the domestic, or had already offered a bond.
What could be a bombshell is if it turns out the General District judge didnt know he had a hold on him from Domestic Court... and they wont let him out! I guess we'll find out if he gets out tonight.

Current rehab looks like its a 28 day "standard" but may extend based on mental or other evaluations.

this has nothing to do with bossman, but I saw this rat on twitter and he looks happy

his name is leland

Not to derail, but you already did.
Social media rats are adorable, but here's a preemptive heartbreaking reminder that rats only live a few years. I follow a few rat accounts on twitter, and it seems like every few months one dies. Cherish your pets while they're here, fellow rats!

The rats are gonna be okay. We are okay.

What the fuck did I just read? I cannot fully process any of this. Is he out of jail already? Is he moved to rehab? Is he back home streaming already?
I need to check out the legal thread and chat. This is just not processing at all.

It’s okay bro. That’s all that you must accept. The rest will come in time.

Mark it down on you calendar guys, October 27, 2024. The day Boss finally got clean. I know he learned his lesson and isn't going to touch the stuff anymore, and maybe even spend his life trying to help other addicts trying to get help. I know he's a good person at heart. We are all going to make it bros, and we are all ok.

As of right now, Austin is still in jail. No idea what the hold-up is and why he is still in jail. Might be related to his DV charge, might be busy at the jail, might be the courts not filing the paperwork immediately. All guesswork.

When dealing with multiple courts with different judges and charges, the wheels of bureaucracy move slowly.

28 days?! Holy shit, I was expecting something like a year or so with the severity of his addictions and the strict rules of the rehab you posted about over in the legal thread. 28 days won’t do shit, I hope he stays longer.

Isn't rehab a pretty expensive system? Google tells me 30 days is common, sometimes going to 60-90 days. If you need a year in a facility, you probably need a mental asylum.

I was feeling so okay and now I'm not feeling so okay this is so fucking wrong

It could be that Ratdad was like "Huh? I was supposed to have a bed for him at a true and honest serious rehab like right now? Well ummm I don't," and so back to the clink for Austin until Ratdad lifts a finger to help him for once

Man the US rehab system is pretty shit. 30 days is nothing to build lifelong new habits, your brain will still be fried. Sure, there’s NA and similar groups to help you when you’re out, but with the severity of his addictions it won’t be enough.

A year is not uncommon in my country for hardcore addicts. 30 days won’t even let you get to know your counselor properly, let alone come up with a proper plan on how to change your life. That part doesn’t even really start until after about 3 months here, when your brain is somewhat back to normal.

The 30 days in the US is mostly to try to get people to want to change, then you're supposed to jump into the deep end of completely changing your life once you get out with daily outpatient and meetings and shit for at least two months after
