The How to Train Your Dragon live action movie - Black vikings, nuff said

I haven't seen anyone discuss this yet, so I'm making a thread about it.

The first non-Disney live action remake. Unlike Disney's shit this one has the original director behind the wheel. Much like Disney's shit it's still randomly niggerfying blondes and redheads for no reason.

From the trailer it looks like it's gonna be a shot-for-shot recreation of the original. Even aside from Blackstrid the movie doesn't look all that great, Hiccup's actor looks too old to be playing him and every dragon aside from Toothless looks like a House of the Dragon reject.


Or maybe I'm just a thankless doomer. Thoughts?

It's about making money. They can't exactly re-release the movie again, this is the next best thing. Hollywood writers are just out of ideas I guess and they're trying to milk franchises as much as possible instead of risking it on a new idea. (I assume this is due to a bunch of original movies bombing?)

The original movie was already overrated as fuck and had none of the charm of the book. I did get a kick out of how badly they clearly wanted to cast Tom Holland and Zendaya.

They even covered up Blackstrid because I guess women showing bare arms is sexualizing them. And they can't use the excuse of "it's a cold region" when Fishlegs and Snotout don't have long sleeves. Also, Ruffnut is now fat.

It's pretty funny how they nailed the casting for Hiccup (age notwithstanding) but decided that a blonde-haired blue-eyed scandinavian woman should obviously be portrayed by a black chick. It's like the animated movie come to life!
